One of their number had seen a possibility, and another had run with it with what amounted to a Copy & Paste with some Photoshop involved.
"It must have been the forbidden jutsu," said a girl with pink hair.
"Yeah, those bastards, he's forgotten about all the time he spent with us," said a blonde girl.
"So, he doesn't remember us at all? Not even a little?" asked some girl with a twin-bun hairstyle.
"So, uhm, what do we do?" asked a shy-seeming girl.
"Hah!" came a male voice. "He can't have forgotten ME?"
A blonde boy leapt down from the Sphinx. "He can't have forgotten his number one rival!"
"Who?" asked Ranma.
The blonde boy fell over with a shocked expression.
"You're Ranma's rival? Don't even start," said another boy. "Remember, that jutsu doesn't just seal memories - it destroys them."
"What?" asked Ranma, feeling completely lost. He was SURE he didn't remember them, never met them. "What's a 'jutsu' anyway?"
"Oh great furies, he's forgotten EVERYTHING?!" asked the blonde girl.
"You don't remember coming to our world?" asked the pink-haired girl. "You don't remember fighting alongside the shinobi of the Leaf Village? You don't remember the friendships you made, the jutsu - special ninja arts - you learned? Nothing?"
Ranma shook his head rapidly.
An older guy came forward, the lower part of his face concealed. "It's clear they did what they'd intended. Ranma no longer remembers his time with us."
"Well, putting that all to the side for the moment," said yet another guy. "This is a WEIRD looking world."
"Well, what do you expect, with our OWN world gone," said some depressed-looking guy.
"There's just us and a few of the ninja villages now," said an older and very busty woman. "Ranma. I'd like to examine your pressure points."
"Yeah!" said the blonde boy from earlier. "Grandma Tsunade is our best healer, she'll fix him up!"
"Not if the memories were actually ERASED, idiot," said the other boy from earlier.
Ranma looked around and saw a lot of depressed people. "What.... what... WHAT?"
