Slyfer knew that many of the people in Tokyo-3 would be uneasy about his presence and that the JSSDF would have their fingers on the N-2 button. You didn't have to be a god to know how people would react to a hundred foot dragon flying out of no where and basically K.O. a Godzilla reject. Thus, Slyfer decided to show that he was on the people's side. The dragon god then spoke, "HEAR ME, OH CITIZENS OF TOKYO-3. I DID DECLARE THAT YEE WERE UNDER MY PROTECTION. MY PROTECTION IN WAR WAS SHOWN BY THE SLAYING OF ADAM'S CHILD. BEHOLD, FOR NOW YOU SHALL WITNESS MY PROTECTION IN PEACE."
Immediately, all the sensors in NERV light up like Christmas trees. One of the bridge bunnies turned to Ritsuko and said, "Pattern Gold has been detected? Ma'am the energy we're reading of of the creature is enormous." Ritsuko quickly pulled up the energy senors on her terminal and nearly fainted. The energy that the senors were picking up was more than the total energy output of the Sun for a year.
Shinji was still inside EVA-01 and he watched in silence as a white sphere formed under Slyfer. Suddenly, this sphere exploded and absorbed everything that Shinji could see. In fact, the shock wave of the orb quickly swallowed up the EVA leaving the Third Child temporarily blinded.
Then as soon as it happened, the orb shrunk into nonexistence. Shinji, the people in NERV, and everyone else in the city then stared out in wonder. Tokyo-3 was in pristine condition like it had never been attacked. The people in the hospitals or trapped under rubble were now in healthy. Even those who had amputated limbs for years or had been disabled since birth were in perfect health.
Slyfer instantly felt the joy of those he had healed and started grinning. The pure joy and happiness of those people sang to the dragon god. He then said, "KNOW THIS PEOPLE OF TOKYO-3. I DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO INSURE THAT THE PAIN THAT THE DAMNED SOULS HAVE CALLED UPON THEIR FELLOW MEN DOES NOT REACH YOU. KNOW THIS, OH PLOTTERS OF DOOM, YOUR TIME IS NIGH. FOR BY YOUR GREED AND ARROGANCE, YEE ARE CONDEMNED TO THE ABYSS. THE SCROLLS OF ZORIC SHALL DO YEE NO GOOD."
With that said, Slyfer started glowing and then in a flash, he disappeared. Unknown to everyone, Slyfer had shifted back into Ranma Saotome and was now hiding in Tokyo-3.
