Coupled Union - Beyond Forms: Family + Vampire [Episode 215297]

by Kender

About the only problem that Akane could see at the moment was that she needed to contact Moka to tell her what was happening. Now, that wasn't something that bothered her, as she would like to talk to the pink haired girl even if there wasn't some sort of issue coming up. So, there was nothing that was going to hold her back from contacting her friend about this.

That was provided that she could actually find her friend. There were several places that she knew that the other girl could have gone, and trying all of them would be a pain. Of course, that wouldn't stop her from trying it, but she rather hoped that it would be easy to find the married girl. Then they could have plenty of fun together.

And she could make sure to give Ranma's mother a ring as well.

Tea was something that Nodoka Saotome rather enjoyed on its own. For her, with all its variations and history, the simple drink was full of history and variety that she could certainly appreciate. Yet, it wasn't about to get her drunk like wine would, and would allow her to spend a quiet time doing whatever it was that she wanted to, especially relaxing.

Due to that, it made for an easy choice to have when she had guests arrive at her home. Having company over was something that she rather liked, and allowing them to feel comfortable and at ease was always something that she enjoyed. Oh, there was a certain sense of dignity that she tried to project, but it was the ability to relax with others that she really wanted to gather. And at that very moment, she could think of nothing better.

"It is always such a nice thing to have you over, Moka," Nodoka murmured as she picked up her teacup. "I couldn't imagine having a sweeter girl as my son's bride."

Her daughter in law's cheeks went as pink as her hair. "You don't have to say something like that...."

"But I want to, dear. You really are a sweet child."

"Thank you, Mother."

"You're welcome."

"I'm just glad that I could find someone as wonderful as Ranma," Moka murmured, looking at where her own cup sat on its saucer.

"Is that so?"

"Yes, absolutely.... Not that you're not special too...."

"I thought that was the case. You don't have to worry about my feelings."

"Oh, but I do!"

"Like I said. You're such a sweet child," Nodoka commented.

"Oh my...."

"I do believe that I'm going to be sick," grumbled the third member of the 'tea party'.

"Kokoa?!"

Rolling her eyes, Kokoa sighed heavily and tried to figure out just how she'd wound up in this mess. All she cared about was her dear sister, and rather than being able to get her to come out, she had to sit here like some twit. Crossing her long legs under the table, she wondered if she really should drink the concoction that she'd been served.

"Stop being so ungrateful," Moka admonished her younger sister. "We're guests here."

"At least you realize that. I thought that you would claim them as 'family'."

"But they are. She is my mother in law, and I like her a lot."

"You might have to. After all, you were the one who married her lug of a son."

"Ranma is a special person...."

"'That you feel deeply over', yadda yadda yadda. Give me one reason why I shouldn't try to knock you back into your senses," the younger girl sneered.

Nodoka settled her teacup down onto its saucer. "Kokoa-chan?"

"Yeah?"

"It's very important for a lady to behave herself."

"Okay...."

"And you are a part of my family."

"Great...." Kokoa sniffed.

"Just remember to be a good girl."

"Whatever."

"You will be a good girl," the Saotome Matriarch told the younger redhead calmly, her voice firm, but her smile and gaze as bland as possible. "Now, won't you, Kokoa-chan."

For a moment, it looked like Kokoa might protest out of habit... but then she saw the face of her brother in law's mother, and fright spilled across her features. A shiver worked its way over her body, and she seemed to shrink in on herself. In fact, she might have cringed, had that not been the sort of sudden movement that would bring the attention of a predator to one's self.

"Sure. Absolutely! Just what I was planning on doing," Kokoa babbled, false cheer bouncing out from her tone.

"That is nice to hear, Kokoa," Nodoka drawled.

Watching her sister make a production out of drinking her tea, Moka sighed, and settled down to enjoy the drinking of the tea, while:
