Lamp Of Mihoshi/Sleeping Ranma: Going to the chapel... [Episode 21568]

by Kestral

Tenchi, Ayeka, Kiyone, Ryoko, Washuu, and Ryo-oh-ki were all staying at the Jurai royal palace in a suite.

Kiyone rejoiced that Mihoshi wasn't around to screw things up, and while she was a career-oriented woman - some of the atmosphere got her into a few romantic fantasies.

Ayeka tried to instruct Sasami in the proper "breaking in" of husbands, which Sasami decided to mostly ignore.

Tenchi heard enough of Ayeka's plans to start spending more time with Ryoko, which Ryoko was not going to complain about in the least.

Keiichi Morisato wasn't sure where the invitation had come from. He knew that Belldandy was excited about it, and so they'd probably end up attending.

Though for some reason Skuld was pretty set against him attending the ceremony with her big sister. Keiichi didn't understand that either. It was just a wedding. It wasn't like they were getting married.

On the other hand, Urd was chuckling gleefully every time the subject came up and talking about a flower-attracting spell and working out a number of details. What was going on with that?! Maybe it was best not to know.

Cologne was the matriarch (or at least one of several elders) of an Amazon tribe that spanned 3000 years of history. She was tough, canny, experienced, and downright sneaky when she wanted to be.

"Shampoo will stop wedding! Shampoo will find airen!"

Cologne nodded absently and turned to the Tendo girl. "You're doing fine, dear. Don't be so stinting on the spices though, this is a restaurant and you're not dealing with a household budget."

Kasumi, new employee of the Nekohanten, nodded. After the disaster that had been the Sleeping Prince events, she'd got to talking with the Amazon Elder and had discovered that she didn't want to stay at home and take care of a sobbing father and slovenly panda.

Cologne had seen a good cook, a woman who was ready to stand on her own two feet, and the potential problems with Shampoo going out to search for Ranma and Mousse searching for Shampoo. Since she was betting that the Nerima craziness would eventually drop them all back, she was planning on staying put and watching her soap operas and running the restaurant. That meant finding some help.

Hence one of the oddest pleasant relationships in Nerima. A 300 year old Chinese ghoul Amazon Warmaster and sensei, and a 19 year old girl who had trouble hurting anyone and seemed to spend a lot of her life in some sort of daze.

"...but Shampoo," Mousse continued to whine, "with Saotome gone you can finally return my love!"

"Like she has in the past decade and change," muttered Cologne.

"There are none so blind as they who choose not to see," said Kasumi, who couldn't remember quite how the quote went but felt she had the spirit of it down.

"True. Okay, it's ready. Table 7, your order is up!"

Tatewaki Kuno lit his lighter and sent the flame to the tip of the fuse. "I'm coming my loves! I'll rescue you from this hated arrangement."

The fuse slowly went into the huge rocket that Kuno had strapped to his back.

Boom!

Kodachi finished packing her bags. "Brother dear. I'm going to look for my beloved Akane. Try not to blow the entire house up in my absence. Oh. Too late."sigh

"...I fight on..." said the stick of charcoal before he keeled over.

"Grrrr. How dare he molest my underage daughter!"

Michiru sighed and tried to ignore Haruka as she slid, yet again, into Dramatic Rant mode.

"...crystal tokyo..." muttered Setsuna as she drank her tea. Instead of using creamer she had a bottle of "Old Cossack" vodka.

Michiru wondered if she could play the violin at the reception. She'd never given a Royal Concert. This could be quite interesting.

"We've got to stop it!" Rei vowed, not caring if anyone in the store stared at her.

"Why? Did your fire readings reveal anything?" Ami was looking over the dresses on sale and musing over the prices. Her mother had seen the invitation and they were going as soon as she could find out how. Ami wasn't sure she could keep her identity as Sailor Mercury secret much longer, her mother had suspected there was more to the story than just "some girl I've studied with who plans on being a nurse someday."

"Well, no," admitted Rei. "Aliens kidnapping humans for a three way marriage is just kind of..."

Minako swept by. "You think there'll be any cute guys there?" That she had asked the question 347 times since the wedding invitations had been issued was only kept track of by Ami.

Ami counted off. One. Two. Three.

"Maybe there'll be some tall guys there," sighed Jupiter as she looked off romantically with eyes glistening before turning back to find a suitable "attend a wedding and meet your future husband who'll be tall and some kind of royalty and handsome, etc." dress.

"So what do you think, Mamo-chan?" Usagi asked, turning briefly before her prince.

Mamoru sweated. This was very seriously not fun. How to tell her that it looked like a goat had eaten up a bunch of frills and bows and then thrown them up? "It's... a little much... don't you think?"

Usagi wondered why Mamoru practically had to be dragged along for little shopping trips like this.

Ukyo laughed maniacally. This time for sure. Ranma was her fiance!

Konatsu checked in on Ukyo. Sad really. She hadn't done so well in the past few days. Fortunately his ninja training had allowed him to knock her out and stuff her in a straitjacket, then anklet cuff her to the bed.

Coming to a decision, he called the Nekohanten. Maybe that Chinese Elder had something for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?
