(AN: I am not even remotely trying to canonize this Shining Gundam's control system, so please, hold onto the flames fer awhile.)
Before the 'Gundamjacking', the developer of the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam, Dr. Mikamura, had planned to convert the Shining Gundam's old 'joy-stick' control console into the new Mobile Trace and Core Lander system for the upcoming 13th Gundam Fight. Alas, he had to completely redesign the Gundam's internal build to accommodate both the MTS and Core Lander dock. As such, the unit was left entirely alone, except for the frequent maintenance and fix-ups.
Then one Ranma Saotome and one Barnette Orangello dropped in through the 'rabbit hole', setting up the alarm system inside the Gundam's cockpit for any thieves. Most thought that, in a highly-secured area such as Neo Japan's Mobile Suit Development Center (non canon), thieves would have a hard time even trying to get into the front gate, much less steal a Gundam. As such, Dr. Mikamura, for all the old kook's paranoia, would be rich enough to push forward and subsequently completely produce and develop the Shining Gundam's predecessor, the GF13-017NJII God Gundam. But, dear readers, leave this 'screwed over' series and return to our wayward heroes. But this author leaves one last word: Domon Kasshu, eat your heart out.
Ranma and Barnette had grown a bit used to the falling. Of course, wherever they end is always half the problem. The two have not talked to each other much (in a most civilized manner), but the two had come to a silent accord: wherever this screwed up hole takes them, they would face through this together.
...Of course, that silent vow was then quickly forgotten to a later date when Barnette felt Ranma's hand in a most inappropriate place, and promptly smacked him hard; at the same time their trip finally ended.
Thus they begin their adventures, with Barnette growling in annoyance, and Ranma groaning in pain,...
