“Hnn, Ranma you should come over during Yakumo’s training. She’s going to need your magic fingers after taijutsu practice,” teased Nabiki. “Besides we need to know each other’s limits.”
“Fufufufufufu, Ranma will be more than happy to help with any desires you may have,” said a glowing Nodoka. A small fan emblazoned with ménage a trios graced Nodoka’s hand as she started pirouetting down the street in delirious joy. “My manly boy will rise to any occasion, no matter the numbers,” stated Nodoka as she placed a matronly hand upon Yakumo’s shoulder. “Enjoy his manly presence.”
Yakumo and Ranma turned an atomic shade of red as embarrassment flushed their faces.
“Daughter, what do you mean by ‘magic fingers’?” whispered Kimiko Tendo. Water started forming around her, as rage was lending Kimiko a skill that hasn’t been seen since Tobirama Senju. “Boy, you haven’t taken liberties with daughter have you?”
The street faded from sight as darkness enveloped Ranma, and the ethereal voice of Murakumo Kurama echoed in the darkness surrounding him, “Yes, boy. Tell us about your ‘magic fingers’.”
“Massage, it’s just a massage” was Ranma’s harried reply. “After I started tutoring Nabiki in taijutsu, she needed massage treatments to prevent cramping. Yakumo will be undergoing a lot of physical stress so Nabiki’s suggesting…” Ranma’s voice faded out as the street returned to existence. Man, Nabiki’s gotta ease up. Over protective parents will spell my doom if she doesn’t stop.
“You will be present while Yakumo is with the boy?” Murakumo Kurama ground out to Kimiko Tendo.
“I’ll be watching him like a hawk,” replied Kimiko. Magic fingers indeed…
“Come on Iruka sensei, we have to hurry. We can still catch them before they make it home,” exclaimed Naruto.
“Naruto, I don’t think this is the time to delight at Ranma’s… condition,” Iruka wearily replied. Dealing with the fallout tomorrow will be hellish enough. Better set my alarm clock for an early day.
Ranma chewed on the end of his pen. Well at least I made it home in one piece. Ranma groaned at the monumental task before him. Man, can’t I just write down the techniques? Why the hell do I have to cite the book and page number? Besides isn’t the old man going to force me to show him all the techniques anyway? Where do I place technique revisions… Should I placed the revised techniques under a different subsection or list them under the base technique? Man… I don’t want to even think about my Bingo Book entry; although I wonder if I’ll be the youngest listed? Being listed because of my skills and not some stupid bloodline at the youngest age ever would be pretty cool.
Augghhhh… I didn’t just think being the Icha Icha Ninja would be cool.
Nodoka watched emotions play across her son’s face, before he settled on banging his head on the table. My poor baby… Well now would be the best time to ask. “Ranma how did you learn to organize your energy quickly, such fine chakra control is unheard of at your age?”
“After my first monthly visitor…” Ranma’s eyes glazed over as he recalled the utter horror at that memory. “I thought I could learn to control the transformation. If I can completely and utterly master Henge, just maybe I can control my curse.” Ranma exhaled as he relived this version’s memories, “Besides, before my Icha Icha revelation, I had nothing else to practice except the academy techniques.” Ranma shrugged, “I would try interjecting seals, removing seals, or altering the seal order to see if I could get any sort of effect on my academy jutsus. Doing that for months, in addition to just constantly going over the shape of the chakra seals teaches you a hell of a lot. I can now perform a kawarimi without hand seals,” he said with a bit of a smile. At least that was pretty cool.
Nodoka hugged Ranma to her chest, “Ranma be sure to have fun; you’re occasionally so serious and driven that you forget.”
“Aw mom, don’t worry about it, ninja techniques are fun,” replied a blushing Ranma.
“Well I suppose I should reward you for taking all of your studies seriously. I guess I can show you one technique that most academy students don’t learn until they are Genin,” said Nodoka. Watching her son’s face light up was worth everything, “You won’t derive the full effects as you have been honing your chakra control, but let me show you how to walk on walls and different surfaces.”
“This technique… the purpose is to help peep on women in bath houses, right?” replied a smirking Ranma, although his eyes were closed tightly. He wasn’t worried so much about getting a new technique or even mastering it. He however was very worried about how his mother would … test his skills in it.
“Fufufufufufu, do you wish to learn the technique or not?” replied Nodoka. “Gather you bath supplies Ranma; let’s see how well you can maintain your invisibility technique while walking on walls and water.”
“Man, mom, that’s going to be some nasty training,” was Ranma’s honest reply. ”Maintaining my concentration under such circumstances will be brutal.”
“Yes, especially on the women’s side of the bath,” said a smirking Nodoka. Her smirk turned into a full blown smile as she watched her son’s face turn an ashen hue, before Ranma departed slowly for his bath supplies.
Ranma was banned for life from the initial two bathhouses, but that third bath house was the charm. “Fufufufufufuf…
And yet they never saw to ban Nodoka.
Saurtobi pinched the bridge of his nose as Ibiki spoke, “I’m sorry Hokage. Evidently young Ranma’s dedication accelerated Nodoka’s training schedule. The damages to buildings are slight but the owners are demanding satisfaction. On a personal note, I would say the sheer sadism of the Saotome training methods should bar Nodoka from ever having a Genin team.”
Sarutobi chuckled mirthlessly, “The rumors have that Genma’s training methods were worse.”
“The Hyuuga are making noise about the Saotome boy’s technique exhibition; the Hyuuga want somebody to watch the invisibility technique very closely to see if it bypasses the Byakugan. Evidently Nodoka’s bath house expedition tipped off the Hyuuga,” droned Ibiki. “The medic-nins are demanding access to Saotome’s chakra and tenketsu chart listings after he finishes his technique write up. The sheer number of ANBU who would like to volunteer to ‘monitor’ the area of the technique exhibition is staggering. The office is auctioning slots for the technique demonstration,” a look of amusement crossed Ibiki’s face at the last statement. “The last issue to be addressed concerns the academy. Outside of Yakumo Kurama’s transfer to Saotome’s class, Iruka would like for you to issue a moratorium on any other transfer to his class.”
Sarutobi nodded. He had no doubt that when word of Ranma’s skills leaked out, several clans would want the boy observed, and the classroom was perhaps the best spot for it.
That or they were afraid he’d try to kidnap their heirs/heiresses as well and wanted to slip extra guards in for them. “Tell Iruka the moratorium will be issued, allow the Hyuuga clan one slot at the technique exhibition—even if they offer to pay for more, and send Gai to my office. I will have a special mission for him”
“Oy, Ranma, what happened to your eye?” demanded Naruto as he slurped Ramen. Breakfast at Ichiraku’s was a tradition for them before class, which would usually end when Ranma either had to go meet Nabiki or when they were late for class. But for some reason, Ranma had claimed he wasn’t allowed to go meet Nabiki at the moment.
“Training accident,” replied Ranma as he quickly demolished his second bowl. Why the hell were those kunoichi so angry at him? It wasn’t like sneaking into their bath had been his idea.
“Man, that must’ve been some rough training; you look like someone worked you over with a broom,” said Naruto as he paused in his meal. “Well, are ya ready for class? I get the feeling today is going to be something big.”
“No, I get the distinct feeling today is going to suck,” was the sullen reply. “Trust me; this day will not end well.”
