What was important was the here and now, which she could affect. Having Ranma as her boss was going to take some getting used to, but she had to admit that it could have been much worse. Fortunately, he had apparently been using his head for something more than an impact point for blunt objects. As she saw it, she should have gone immediately to go and check up on the backup instruments.
Instead, she went in search of the ship's wardrobe. In a craft created to fake a reality for those 'living' it, there had to be plenty of costumes for everyone to wear. Oh, she could have worn the kimono, and she knew that she would make the outfit look good. But the fact was that it wasn't her style, and wouldn't do to well trying to rush about in something like that.
Not that she would mind walking about in the nude. It was surprising how freeing the sense of dying gave one. Since this wasn't her true body anyway, she didn't feel quite as possessive of it than she had her birth form. Then again, she hadn't been above showing off her figure to her her advantage before all this. He just might not be terribly fond of it, and would likely be too put out to function correctly.
Besides, she did want to get dressed, as she liked wearing clothing. She just had to be able to pick out what was right for her, since she knew what exactly she liked. What she needed was an outfit that would fit both her personality and her new role in life. Being stylish was important, and she rather thought that it would be a good idea to consider movement as well. Of course, she could always use her clothing to reflect her submission to Ranma's command, though she wasn't certain that would work.
In the mean time, she could look around, trying to find the right outfit for her. They certainly had plenty of choices, although the fact that they had to dress all sorts of body types, some just wouldn't fit her. Yet, she was certain that she could find the right outfit, and knew that she could the job that she was asked to do.
It was just amusing to consider what Ranma's reaction would be to the 'new her', while:
