Sanjiyan Unkara Atavism: Blood of the immortals [Episode 216157]

by HistorianoftheKais

The Sanjiyan Unkara were once a remarkable race. Having split off from their mortal brethren, this race possessed eternal youth, incredible magical power, and a third eye. The longevity and power of the Sanjiyan Unkara led many primitive humans to regard them as deities. None of the Sanjiyan Unkara bothered to correct humanity's misconception of them since humans lived for such a short amount of time. In fact, some Sanjiyan Unkara actively encouraged humanity's belief in their divinity.

However, the Sanjiyan Unkara had one major fatal flaw. This flaw wasn't the fact that they were left vulnerable after using high powered magic. The Wu, a Sanjiyan Unkara's immortal bodyguard, were able to cover this problem. Rather, the Sanjiyan Unkara's fatal flaw was their stagnation. The isolation of their holy land and their magical power meant that the Sanjiyan Unkara never had to worry about outside invasions or crop failures. Thus, they lacked the drive for technological advancement. Eternal youth meant that the Sanjiyan Unkara weren't driven to have families and their population only grew by one or two percent per century.

One day, a Sanjiyan Unkara named Kaiyanwang Shiva became mad and waged war on the rest of his people. Shiva was eventually stopped by his fellow Sanjiyan Unkara. However, the price for this victory was terrible. The Sanjiyan Unkara were almost completly driven to extinction. Those few who survived the slaughter were quickly killed off when they ventured into human world because they couldn't comprehend the dangers in it.

Luckily, the legacy of this great race was not entirely lost. Thousands of years ago, Human/Sanjiyan Unkara hybrids had been born. These hybrids and their deeds formed the basis of the mythological demi-gods. After a few generations, the power of the Sanjiyan Unkara stopped manifesting in the hybrids' bloodlines. The magical properties of the blood insured that the power wasn't watered down into nothingness. Instead, the power simply slept within those descended from the immortals. Within one descendant; however, the power awoke after several centuries of slumber.
