Nodoka's Solution - Horror House: Dolled Up [Episode 216462]

by Kestral

Akane knew a moment of panic before the chamber appeared around her. Lights flashed briefly.

When the chamber disappeared, she let out a deep breath as nothing had changed.

"Aiyah. She IS shrinking."

Akane looked up at that and noticed everyone was growing huger with each passing second. Though that's what it looked like, she knew the opposite was true. She was shrinking.

There was one good thing about it though, no doubt because the game had reset to being 'child safe' (though the definition of 'child safe' seemed to be a bit skewed) - the last thing to change on her was the addition of clothes that had NOT been burst through by tentacle monsters.

Nor was the clothing something that would have been perfectly mortifying for her. She could easily see where she might have gotten a maid uniform or bunnysuit or cavegirl outfit complete with club. No, this looked more like something that would have been perfectly acceptable in some Elizabethan court or something. An elaborate gown that could have been suitable for the sort of ball that featured handsome princes and musicians playing. Fortunately the slippers were not glass, but fit the costume anyway.

Also fortunately for her, despite half-expecting it, no clear plastic packaging came to fit itself into place around her. If THAT had happened, she'd have expected to end up on some store shelf somewhere.

There came the rolling of dice and Kodachi-in-ryoga "accidently" sent them close enough to Akane to cause the doll-sized girl to leap to the side to avoid them.

leap-THUD!

Which was when she discovered that her strength had remained the same and was now severely disproportionate to her size. The sideways leap that would have sent the full weight Akane a few feet to the side was now dealing with a weight considerably less.

"That... was more entertaining than I would have thought," said Kodachi-in-ryoga as Akane slid down the wall.

"Too bad Akane not just take the attack," said Shampoo. "Think game would punish that."

"Good point," said Kodachi-in-ryoga, nodding to Akane a moment later. "Thank you for your timely dodge of my purely accidental toss."

"Think nothing of it," grumbled Akane as she picked herself up and began the long process of walking back to her spot.

"Akane, you look so cute like that," mentioned Kasumi as she watched the little doll make her way across the relative expanse.

"Think how much money we could save on hot water if she stayed that way," mused Nabiki.

"Not helping!" groused Akane with a glare up at her more mercenary sister.

"Let's see now," said Kodachi-in-ryoga, now checking the space she'd just moved into. "Oh. This is... Wasn't this space lettered differently?"

"You haven't noticed that the tiles shuffle at random intervals?" asked Nabiki. "That's why this one looks familiar and out of place. When the game reset, I noticed the tiles weren't back to the same positions."

"Ah," said Kodachi-in-ryoga as the effect went off:
