"Hello~!♫♪" A voice cheerfully called out from above and behind Ranma. Ranma, startled, clumsily waddled his arms to turn and face the speaker. The first distinguishing feature of the speaker was her pink hair. The second was her pointed ears, or two furry protrusions that looked like ears. The third was the light-pink bird-like wings softly flapping behind her back. In all, dressed in strange brown and white clothing with many bird-shaped ornaments, the girl in question looked very odd.
Mystia Lorelei, the Night Sparrow, for her part, was curious. Here she was flying around the forests of Gensokyo. A regular Night Sparrow youkai, minding her business and singing her songs. She was about to pass over the Misty Lake, where the Ice Fairy, Cirno, lived, when she saw a faint red-headed figure pop up from the lake. Wondering what it was, she flew a little closer, until facial features, as well as scent, identified the mysterious swimmer as a human. Strange. What was a human doing in the middle of a lake where youkai inhibited and wandered about its' waters? They usually huddled together in groups for safety. She's never seen a human, barring that energetic witch and the shrine priestess, this blatantly brave as to swim in a lake alone. Aside from that, Mystia's curiosity exhibited a strange power. It was not overly obvious, but, as a youkai, she had an instinctual sense on power. She could sense it, from this human, female from the looks of her and her voice. It was unrefined, but vast potential was there.
So, with a flap of her wings, she descended and greeted the strange human being. Hello~!♫♪ She called out.
The human, red-faced in embarrassment, awkwardly replied, "H-hello."
