Genma sighed contentedly as he relaxed in a hammock that was strung up between two sandstone pillars where a cool ocean breeze could blow past him. The life of a martial artist is fraught with hardship, but he was perfectly fine with the moment.
The baby, born a little over four months ago, were prone to sleeping more than anything else. And occasionally being cooed over by an insubstantial projection of a Kryptonian godmother.
Jor-El did NOT sigh, content or otherwise, as he was keeping an eye on a large number of factors. One of which was the final inhabitant of this island.

As Genma had pointed out, people were used to martial artists with strange abilities and manuevers. Some of which had passed into legendary status. Having Ranma do things out of the ordinary was completely acceptable if he did it within the framework of martial arts because then people at least THOUGHT they understood it.
So Ranma had begun by walking up walls and similar surfaces. Then he'd graduated to walking across water. He had almost perfected that 'jutsu' and would eventually move on to 'walking on air' jutsu.
Never mind that it was actually Kryptonian superpowers. Same with his 'Byakugan' where he looked through solid objects. That it was 'Telescopic Vision' and 'Xray Vision' was beside the point.
Ranma was five years old now and was running around the entire island. Occasionally some shark or other predator would draw close. Occasionally Ranma would reach down, grab something that had not learned caution, and would toss it towards the shore as long as it was something on the 'edible' list.
Jor-El continued to watch when something odd registered. It took less than an eyeblink's worth of time to discover what it was, and that it would disturb the normal activities of the island, but it looked as if:
