Eventually, Ranma's 'lesson' ended and he left Anzu's apartment. Ranma then had to face the craziness of getting to the Tendo dojo. This wasn't exactly an easy task considering that every nut and wacko in the funny farm knew that he had disappeared for a few hours. Even when Ranma got to the dojo, the trouble continued as the Tendos pestered him about where he had been. Finally after all this trouble, Ranma was able to retire to his futon and try to sort out how he felt about the whole Porn Star gig.
Well into the night, the window in Ranma's room creaked open and Happosai hopped into the room. Usually, the perverted Anything Goes grandmaster's presence would have been shouting off warning bells for Ranma. However, this time things were different. Happosai wasn't here to cause Ranma grief or fondle Ranko's bosom. Oh no, Happosai was here for something far more important and noble than that.
Most people would classify Happosai's lifestyle as 'do whatever the hell you want and get some dumb fool to take the rap'. The founder of Anything Goes had lived this way for over two hundred and eighty years without any regrets. However, there was one thing that Happosai worried about seriously and that was the future of Anything Goes. The old coot was loathed to admit it, but he only had a few more years left before he would be unable to continue his lifestyle and practicing his school.
This of course, force Happosai to decide on an heir. Sadly for the old master, none of the other practitioners of Anything Goes were suitable candidates. Genma was too lazy, Soun was too emotionally weak, and Akane wasn't open enough in her lesbian tendencies. Ranma had originally been considered completely unacceptable as an heir given his rather strong honor code; things like that weren't useful or acceptable to a master of Anything Goes.
However, the perverted old coot had heard through his contacts that Nodoka had gotten her hands on Ranma and was teaching him the family business. That news immediately made Ranma the first choice for successor. Sure, a Porn Star wasn't a Liberator of Silky Darlings, but it was close enough for Happosai. With the same lighting fast speed that he used on liberation runs, Happosai reached into his vest and pulled out several scrolls. He then shoved the scrolls under Ranma's pillow and smiled. The boy would find these scrolls, read them, and however reluctantly on his part, learn them. Once Ranma knew everything in the scrolls, he would be on his way to become the next grandmaster of Anything Goes.
