"A what now?" Ranma questioned.
"A Book of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, Dear," Molly supplied. She was feeling rather cheap and used but very, very satisfied about it - if only it had been by choice. Still, she definitely wanted to secure her position for a repeat performance. "It's a magic tome, like a Book of Vile Darkness or Book of Exhalted Deeds, only it's reputed to Carnelise certain arcane casters who read it; perverting their magic ability and turning them into complete sensualists."
"You would know all about that kind of depravity, wouldn't you," Mira snapped.
"Ladies, please focus," Ranma pleaded, hoping to break up a bitch fight before it started. "What would Father be doing with a book like that?" He knew his father to be many things, several of them unflattering, but perverted was not one of them.
"It could have been given to him as a trap, milord," Eriale offered shyly, then gulped when his attention turned to her. "I mean, he may not have known what it was."
"So someone may have tried to get to me through him," Ranma nodded in understanding. He turned back to the ogre. "Do we know for sure if Father actually read the thing, Alfred?"
