The gentleman's gentleogre sighed as he continued to stare intently at the ceiling.  "Yes, I'm aftraid so, Your Highness.  He is believed to have used those type of spells before.  However, he's always been very discrete about it, so we never ..."

"Felt it necessary to tell me?" Ranma fummed.

"Felt it worth embarrassing him," Alfred corrected with mild reprove.  "It was a delicate subject to bring up but it's not considered harmful to practice such arts, within limits.  However, under the circumstances, I suppose ..."

"Dear, even if your father is a sensual caster," Molly observed, "that does not mean he's the one who did this to us."

"The slut has a point, Dearest," Jastra Moondown agreed quickly, looking like a rather rumpled angel in bedsheets and not wanting the tielfing to get bonus points.  "I have always found your father to be a very honourable man.  This action seems most unlike him."

"Yes, it could be a diversion, Darling," Akordia Parn agreed as she squinted in Ranma's general dirrection.  The drow bard was definitely a night owl -er, elf-.  "Whomever gave your father the book may very well have read it first, after all.  It could all be a very complex plot to turn you against your father and us against each other."  She was well versed in such things, having survived the Byzantine politics of a drow citadel before seeking refuge in Ranguard.

"Right then," Ranma decided.  "I guess the first thing we need to do is..."
