Nobody saw the elderly wizened figure sitting on a gnarled stick, floating high above the muggle city. Not even the local magic-users, who were supposed to be at least trying to keep an eye on such goings on.
Which meant that her shields were working just fine, of course. As was expected - 'Granny Cologne' was not in the habit of doing things by half measures, after all.
And now for the main event. 'Cologne' whipped out a basin, and poured some spelled water and herbs into it. OK, so - how many descendants and kinfolk in general did she have in this area now?
Several minutes later, the wizened woman sighed and waved her hand. Alright, it did seem like she did have quite a number of kinfolk around here, now, but - none of them seemed to be especially interesting, quite frankly. Oh, there were at least 3 or so that were carrying around those western-style wands, but those were all quite ordinary Wizards and Witches too, as far as she could see, and if they had those wands already, presumably they weren't untrained, so...
- Wait. What was that?
'Cologne' started up her spell again, peering into the water in her basin. There seemed to be some glimmers of something, there...
Several minutes later, 'Cologne' leaned back on her stick, sighing. There were some glimmers, to be sure, but none of them were all that strong, and those patterns - Oh, well. But hmmm...
'Cologne' made the picture in the water widen and pan out, covering the entire room. A plump baby in a crib, and woman nodding off next to said crib, and -
"Hey, Pet? Petunia, I'm homee -"
Alright, then, so - that man was her great grandson, and the plump little thing in the crib her great-great-grandson. Gotcha. The woman who looked like she might be related to some of the local wizard clans was her great grandson's wife, she supposed...
"Cologne" thought about things at bit, and then threw a minor good-luck charm the happy little family's way. Considering the so-called Voldermort situation - any relatives of hers could use any bit of luck they could get, she suspected.
Hmmm. And now, about a certain Bad Tommy...
