When Ryoga emerged from the pool, he...she was different, and that had been saying something.
Like Ranma, Ryoga's female form was not what could have been when Ryoga was born female. Not if one counted that Ryoga was currently as tall as his male form's abdomen, had waist-long orange hair that was held in a very loose ponytail by her bandanna, and two long horns that stuck out of her head. Though she still wore the now-loose clothes and heavy pack, plus the even heavier umbrella, Ryoga was able to carry all of it with minimal effort, despite that their combined weight could have buckled a normal human from even trying to move it. After pulling herself out of the water, she caught her own reflection in the water.
That was at the same time that she started feeling tipsy.
"Whu-? Hic! Wut happened to m- hic! - me?" She asked herself, a bit blurry eyed.
"M-man..." Ryoga suddenly said as she stumbled around with the baggy clothes, pack, and umbrella. Strangely, she did not end up lost, but managed to arrive at the small shack that she spotted a moment ago.
Setting her pack on the outside wall of the house, her eyes spotted a bottle propped on a simple wooden chair. Feeling thirsty all of a sudden, she took the bottle from the chair without a second thought, popped the cork open, and took a big chug of the liquid inside, before widening her eyes and sputtering in surprise, spilling some of the liquid outside.
"What? Th-this is alc-hic-ohol!" She shouted in shock, staring at the bottle. Then she paused for a moment, in thought.
The alcohol felt like the Nectar of Life. It had been sooooo good! She couldn't describe the feeling she got when she tasted it.
Shrugging her shoulders, Ryoga just up-ended the bottle into her mouth once again as she hefted her pack onto her back and walked on her way. Then she got lost, but she didn't seem to notice.
Now if only these chicks would stop pinching her cheek and calling her cute...
Yup, you guessed it, back story time!
...Or something else entirely.
