She could tell that there were watchers though, the sensation of being watched hadn't changed. Now the attention was mainly off of her.
So she did what she could, memorizing every part of the apartment. Bathroom here. Bed there. Kitchenette here. Sink there. Trashcan over here.
She couldn't do much, but she COULD observe and learn the location of everything and she could keep things clean. Well, cleaner. Naruto seemed to leave things in a state of benign neglect or something.
She considered her situation, let out a deep breath, and decided to wait and see. Perhaps there was something positive that could come out of all this.
One of the Hyuga sentries looked to the side. "Is that the Uzumaki boy?"
The other sentry glanced in that direction. "I believe so."
"Has he eaten Hinata and now developed a taste for Hyuga flesh?" asked the first.
"Idiot," pronounced the second sentry. "No, Hinata is still in his apartment, I heard from Kumiko when she arrived at the end of her shift. Look at the empty bags he's toting."
"So, how do we handle a little kid sneaking into the Hyuga clan estate?" asked the first sentry.
"Actually," said a voice that caused both sentries to snap to attention, "I have an idea on that."
"What a pity," overacted one of the clan guards, carrying a stack of boxes. "Such a pity we have to dispose of all Miss Hinata's things like this."
"Indeed," said the second of the guards, carrying another stack. "All these boxes we have to take to the curb for trash pickup tomorrow. It's a pity that nobody knows where Hinata has gone."
"Yes, such a darn shame," said the first guard as he stopped next to a bush that had blond hair sticking out of the top.
"Oh well, we'll just have to leave it unguarded over HERE where just anyone could get ahold of it," overacted the second guard as he passed the bush.
"Likewise these medical texts, cookbooks, and such," said Hiashi Hyuga, being sure to put the box of trash atop the other heaps as soon as the sentries were done. "Now, you two get back to your posts."
"Yes SIR," said the two sentries.
"As for me," mused the lord of the Hyuga clan aloud, "I think I'll spend some time contemplating things in the garden."
As things got quiet in the yard, the blond haired bush slowly snuck back to the gate and checked.
"Heh heh. I truly AM an awesome ninja," said the bush. "SCORE!"
