Kiba sighed, went over to Naruto and tapped him on the shoulder.
"I ain't kissing - " began Naruto.
"IT'S NOT THAT!" shouted Kiba from the distance of a foot away. "Look. I grew up with a sister and a mother who is Scarier Than Death. I know a little more than you do about women."
"Kiba giving Naruto advice on women," said Yuhi, with the required eyeroll. "This should be good."
"Go somewhere with Hinata and apologize," said Kiba.
"For what?" asked Naruto. "What I do?"
"It doesn't matter," said Kiba. "She's a girl. You hurt her feelings. Didn't matter if you don't know what you did. Doesn't matter if you didn't actually do anything. She's a girl, logic doesn't enter into it."
Sasuke Uchiha heard that and inclined his head slightly, acknowledging that from pain comes wisdom. Having seen Kiba's mother, there was probably frequent pain involved.
"Uhm, right," said Naruto. "Uhhh."
"It's okay," said Hinata in a weak voice and trying to smile. "I'm fine."
"She says she's fine," said Naruto.
Kiba just stared at him.
"okay okay," muttered Naruto. "Yeesh."
"Later," advised Yuhi. "I haven't seen the pactio abilities, neither has Kiba. Can you demonstrate?"
"Uhm," said Hinata, looking heavily embarassed.
"Well," said Naruto.
LICK went Akamaru.
"BLEAH!" went Akamaru and Naruto a moment later.
"Yeah, I'd be pretty disgusted too," said Kiba to Akamaru as the dog hacked.
Three glowing card shapes appeared in midair, merged into one, then split into two. One settled into Naruto's hand, the other hung in midair until Kiba could grab it.
"Yeah, that looks like Akamaru all right," said Kiba, putting the card on the table. "Why am I on the card too?"
"Growl raf," said Akamaru.
"Don't blame me, it wasn't MY idea," complained Naruto.
"bleah," said Akamaru.
"You can understand Akamaru now, Naruto?" asked Yuhi.
"Uhm, no," said Naruto. "It just kinda sounded to me like he was complaining."
"Well, that's two people on Team Eight who have pactio with Naruto, while no one on the team that actually has Naruto has a pactio with him," said Yuhi, directing a glance at the single female member of Team 7.
Sakura, on the other hand, was still imagining doing a pactio with Sasuke.
