For Sora, things had been one big blur ever since he received the letter from King Mickey.
It started off simply with him, Riku and Kairi receiving the King's letter containing an urgent request to join an investigation on strange new occurances that were happening in Disney Castle and some of the other worlds. Upon their arrival, they were able to see those strange events for themselves, starting with Goofy and Donald sporting their black and white appearances from the Timeless River. Other instances included the quick growth and death of some of the flower gardens around the castle and the water sprouting from the fountain frozen in motion. Questions quickly came forth but nobody seemed to have any available answers or clues until Merlin teleported in and quickly asked for Sora, Donald and Goofy to accompany him to Hollow Bastion as he had discovered the source of these occurrences. After asking Riku and Kairi to try and help get things under control at the castle, Merlin teleported the party back to Hollow Bastion.
And that was when things started to get out of hand...
"GAH!!" The first thing he saw as soon as Merlin teleported them in was Leon getting thrown back after getting blasted by a series of magical projectiles.
"Leon!!" Sora immediately rushed over to the scarred swordsman's side. "What happened?! Where is everybody?!"
He took a second to catch his breath while he explained things. "We split up to try and control the chaos that's happening here. Merlin informed me of who was behind this and I tried to take her out by myself. But... she's not like anyone we've ever faced."
"What do you mean?" asked Donald.
"It's temporal magic, Donald. The power to manipulate time and perception. You must exercise great caution around her!" The old wizard then paused and looked up at the sky just in time to see a red clad woman with long grey hair in an unusual hairstyle descend slowly to the ground. A black feather accessory was attached to her outfit while appearing to give her wings.
"You really aren't anything like him, are you?" Her amused gaze was directly aimed at Leon.
Goofy took a brave step forward. "What is it that you want?!"
"A world of compressed time. The world I desire..."
Merlin went pale at that revelation. "She wants to merge past, present and future into one! If she succeeds, this would extinguish all life as we know it!"
"Not if I can help it!" Instantly, the Keyblade appeared in Sora's hands and he immediately charged towards the woman but as soon as he swung his weapon, she teleported out of his reach. His further attempts to reach her met the same result with him dealing no damage to her. "In that case...!" Just as he was about to cast a spell, he heard her shout "Time!" and the next thing he knew, he was thrown back towards the others. His body felt as if it had been blasted mulitple times.
"Sora!" Instantly, Donald was at his side to cast a healing spell on him.
"That was the same attack she used on me," muttered Leon while Merlin continued to administer healing magic on his body.
There was no doubt in Sora's mind that she would be a very difficult opponent. He would have to give it his best shot in order to try and defeat her. "Donald, Goofy... you guys ready?"
"Yeah!" And in one flash, the two members of Mickey's court fused with Sora, changing his outfit to a white and black one. Oathkeeper and Oblivion hovered behind him while he floated on the ground.
This increase in power didn't even phase the woman. "How interesting..." It was all she said before Sora flew at her with everything he had. Even with his abilities enhanced by Donald and Goofy's strength, he still couldn't land a hit on her. She was wisely keeping her distance while using a combination of defensive magic and multiple projectiles to put pressure on him. Eventually, the frustration of not being able to reach her started getting to him and allowed her to pounce on an opening.
"Time!" He found his body and the world around him frozen in time except his mind was still aware of things. No matter what he did, he couldn't move his body and will his Keyblades with his mind to attack the enemy. Up ahead, he could see a second version of the woman approach him slowly... most likely her spirit while her own body was frozen in time.
'Move...'
"Foolish child... everything is an illusion. Hope... friends... even your life..." She caressed the boy's chin with a purple clad hand for just a moment before walking past him. "All will fade like a dream."
'Move!'
As she passed by him, a large number of magic missiles appeared out of nowhere and surrounded Sora, ready to strike. "Now... sleep for eternity..."
'MOVE!!!' His desperate thought then triggered a reaction from his body just as the missiles descended in tune to the woman's evil laughter.
He wasn't sure of what quite happened except he saw many jumbled images. Some of them were familiar as they were memories from his past adventures while others were totally foreign to him. One such image is of a black haired girl in an Organization cloak wielding the Keyblade and pointing it directly towards him while a second one saw him facing off against Maleficient again but with a blue haired girl as an apparent ally.
The next thing he knew, he had woken up in another world back in his normal clothes. The scenery was somewhat familiar to Mulan's world so he had an idea of where he was. Before he could start searching for Donald and Goofy who were nowhere in sight, a group of bandits happened to find him first. As his mood was pretty sour from how easily the strange time sorceress had defeated him, he took it out on those bandits. And just as he finished taking care of business, some girl just came in and kowtowed in front of him while swearing loyalty to the Messenger of Heaven.
So much for any chance of rest and relaxation after the last fight with Xenmas.
