"We've stabilized them," said a voice. "We think Team Rocket are the ones who managed both attacks."
"They look much better now, may I take a look at your equipment?" said a familiar sounding voice.
"Well, if you want to, I suppose," said the woman from earlier. "Did you know your eyes glow when you do that?"
"They don't do that at home, but I seem to see things a bit differently in this world," said Hinata.
"So they're gonna be okay?" asked another familiar voice. One that brought a frown to Sakura's face as she tried to place it. That voice annoyed her for some reason.
"Well, the blonde was poisoned, beaten, and left naked. When she awoke it was to find a group of Tauros nearby. She panicked, that panicked them, so she got a little trampled. The other one..."
"Yeah, those burns? So some of these 'pokemon' throw acid around?" That was NARUTO'S voice. He was responsible for bringing them here... wait a minute. Her face?
Sakura struggled to wake, discovering quickly that she was restrained in some sort of bed. That got her heart racing and a full blown panic developing.
"She's waking up! Quick, I need a sedative," said the woman from earlier.
Sakura finally got one eye open. The other refused her efforts. She remembered. The big snake that spat ACID, the burning sensation as droplets left a trail from the right of her forehead to nearly halfway down that arm.
Pain flared into being as she woke and began moving. Extremely high levels of pain in fact, that she'd only felt the like of once before.
Panicked, she looked wildly around until she caught a distorted reflection of herself in one surface - which didn't reveal much as she was covered in bandages along that side.
A pinprick on her good side and she swiveled her head to look at a pink-haired girl in a white uniform withdrawing a syringe.
Then the world seemed to retreat into darkness.
"Well, she's awake again," said Ino from her wheelchair.
"She still thrashing in the restraints?" asked Naruto. "You know what she told me to do when she came out the last time?"
Hinata and several others nodded, looking away from Sakura.
"I'm awake, you know," stated Sakura in a hostile tone, though she was also trying to remember what she had said to Naruto.
"You're not going to say anything like that again, are you?" asked Naruto, sounding subdued.
"She'd better not," said Ino. "Honestly. People will think everyone from Konoha is a foul tempered barbarian."
"vull vull pix," said something that also sounded fairly subdued.
"Oh, no, she's just had some serious injuries inflicted on her," said a pink-haired woman Sakura didn't recognize. "Some rehabilitation is to be expected."
"Same as me," said Ino, wheeling around to face Sakura. "Once we get home, the medic-nin can probably do something about that."
"'Probably,'" repeated Sakura. "Can I see it?"
Ino was the one to hold a mirror up. Sakura saw the damage and felt tears come to her eye again. The bandages had been partly removed but what was left still indicated how bad it would look underneath.
"I've seen it," said Naruto. "It ain't that big a deal."
Ino ran her wheelchair over Naruto's foot.
"WHAT YA DO THAT FOR?!" yelled Naruto.
"A woman's face is more important than you seem to realize," said Ino with a sniff.
