Hypnotica's Enthrall ability requires longterm exposure to her mental dominance taking place over at least three days time. The Hypnotica's abilities are very limited against human targets, able to do minor suggestions and the hypnosis sleep effect but are much more powerful against Feral pokegirls.
Hypnotica, who went by the name of Bounti, was a slavetrader and bounty hunter. She'd sell to anyone as long as there wasn't a significant danger to herself. She'd also sell anyone, providing she could acquire them. No matter what breed of pokegirl, Threshold or Domestic or Feral, owned or freeborn or whatever - if she could catch them she could sell them.
There was ALWAYS a market, particularly after she'd had the chance to thoroughly break their minds.
That didn't mean she was all-powerful in the mind control department. Even when Mao's Rebellion had used a few Hypnotica - there had been those who had resisted and there were those who had been broken but still wouldn't cross certain lines.
She'd found two pokegirls wearing clothing and carrying equipment. One had been clearly a Tomboy. The other she'd gotten earlier and had to ask what she was, and the pokegirl had identified herself as a Kunoichi.
Funny that this Kunoichi didn't have the subdermal markings typical of their kind, but that might easily be explained by her being a recently Thresholded girl.
"Ah, it's you, Bounti," said a Dark Elf that landed in the clearing. "Some fine catches today."
"Indeed, Dark Elf," acknowledged Bounti. "I was just about to use the bell to summon one of your number."
"No need, one of us is here," said the Dark Elf, moving closer and inspecting the pokegirls. "Interesting."
"Aren't they though?" agreed Bounti. "Here we have a Cheetawny I caught two days ago. She was easy to catch though as she was working for a pizza shop in town. All I had to do was call for a delivery and she came with two extra-cheese."
"The human authorities haven't noticed that an employee has gone missing?" asked the Dark Elf.
The Hypnotica frowned just slightly as she answered. "Oh, I'm sure they have, but I've never let such things interfere in the past. I still prefer calling them by their old name - Cheetit."
"Times change, names change, but supply and demand remain," said the Dark Elf.
"True," said Bounti, relaxing again slightly. "This one is a Driad, and apparently a recent Thresholder. It took me almost three days to erase her past."
"How difficult," said the Dark Elf. "Not bonded to a tree yet then?"
"No, which increases the price substantially," said Bounti. "Of course, such a rare catch is all the more lucrative."
"These two are clothed," said the Dark Elf. "These are not raided off one of the local farms are they? That could raise problems."
"Yes, a Kunoichi who I believe also recently Thresholded," said Bounti. "And a Tomboy. Both would be excellent general labor slaves."
"I've heard that Kunoichi are more trouble than they are worth in that regard, and Tomboys are fairly common around here," said the Dark Elf. "Nonetheless, I agree that they have the look of common labor types."
"Well, what you do with them after you buy them, that's your own look out," said Bounti.
"Very well, put them on the account," said the Dark Elf. "I shall present them to my Queen and she will decide what to do with them."
