Little events like his Uncle Genma's "Official Fiancee Card" debacle had initially seemed just more stupidity hitting him. Except that Naruto had pointed out that Sasuke had had to uprate his skills in stealth, surprise attacks, burglary skills, and speed to levels he might otherwise have not obtained. Didn't mean he wasn't going to kick his Uncle's butt whenever he got the chance, that was STILL a major goal in his life, but he understood there was ninja training involved and most likely intended.
Kakashi blocked and blocked and twisted to the side, falling off the branch and putting some distance between his attacker and himself.

Kakashi twisted in midair, his visible eye opening wider as he saw a squirrel zipping away at high speeds with a pair of bells dangling from his mouth.
That... they are working together, realized Kakashi. The feint, the distraction, the apparent dismissal of one clone-turned-squirrel so that he'd assume they'd ALL been dispelled, Sasuke's new attack. If it WASN'T what they'd planned out after Sakura's repeated stabbing of her love interest - then it was a darn good improvisation.
"Got it!" declared Naruto as the squirrel gave him the bells and then bamfed out in a puff of smoke.
"Heh," said a smirking Sasuke as he leapt back and then limped over to where Naruto was.
"Here ya go," said Naruto, handing off a bell.
Sasuke didn't say anything, merely continued to smirk and inclined his head in acknowledgement. Of course, in HIS mind, Naruto had merely followed HIS direction and backed HIS play. Which made Naruto fairly tolerable for being able to do so but not necessarily important beyond second-stringer teammate.
Naruto, of course, considered it HIS victory.
Kakashi, stunned and surprised by someone actually MANAGING to get the bells, exited the woods to the clearing that Naruto and Sasuke had returned to.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" said Sakura as she leapt from a tree to attack Kakashi.
Kakashi held up a hand, stepped to the side, and then sighed. "Hadn't meant to use that now. Just had it prepared."
Noticing that Sakura had just stopped there, Naruto felt a pang of concern. Sasuke merely looked interested.
"...genjutsu?" said Sakura.
"I had something prepared, then modified it and was considering it, when she made that obvious attack," said Kakashi.
Sakura came to a stumbling halt, noticing that Kakashi-sensei was nowhere to be seen. There was just Sasuke and Naruto over there.
The light was a bit odd though. Which was her first hint that it was this was an attack. "Genjutsu?"
"Ungh," said Sasuke, falling to the ground, blood spurting from various wounds on his back and side.
"AHHHHHHHHHH! Sasuke!" screamed Sakura on seeing this.
"Congratulations, Sakura, you've killed me," groaned Sasuke. "So... annoying..."
Naruto went to one knee and checked Sasuke while Sakura looked on in horror. "He's dead. You really did kill him."
"Urk," said Sakura before collapsing onto the ground.
"Maybe that was a bit much," mused Kakashi.
"Nah," said Sasuke.
"Well, maybe..." said Naruto, heading over to arrange her to be more comfortable.
Kakashi considered the dynamics, which was not all that close to the triangle that had developed in his own ninja squad. Apparently that he was constantly hounded/photographed/drooled over by the Legion Of Sasuke Fangirls meant that he saw Sakura mainly as an annoyance.
