The table ratcheted up to where several sinister-looking electrodes were aimed and a device that looked like an over-engineered and very over-powered staple gun.
"WHAT ARE YOU DO-" began Kodachi-in-Ryoga. She had no problems with this body becoming of a more familiar gender. She was just also quite familiar with how mad scientist gadgetry tended to go boom and give a result other than what was intended.
"Yes, yes," said a little man with a BAD pseudo-Germanic accent. He tugged his pointy white beard and looked over the form. "Very interesting. Very interesting indeed."
"Who are YOU?!" asked Kodachi-in-Ryoga.
"Searagnome DeBurnerschtick! Number One Mad Scientist Sorcerer in the Land Beyond The Game," declared the very little man once he had gotten close enough she could judge heights. "Sentenced to take part in this game for all Eternity by fools who didn't understand my GENIUS!"
"oh dear," said Kodachi-in-Ryoga, hoping that this didn't mean anything too horrible.
"Now what we have here is only interesting in that mind and soul have been pulled from one body and transferred to another body," said the demented gnome as he ran from handcranking one gadget to fiddle with dials on another to shift sliding levers on another. "Bwahahahahahaha!"
"Uhm, so you're changing the gender of this body so that it is that of my old body?" asked Kodachi-in-Ryoga. "Not that my body was old, I mean. Well, you know what I mean."
"Child's play," said the gnome, flicking a final switch. Electricity arced. Whirligigs whirled. Beakers bubbled. A cuckoo clock's hands spun crazily and a raven stuck its head out of the little doors to proclaim - "Whoops, he's at it again."
"Ungh," said Kodachi-in-Ryoga as several things started happening at once. The feeling of bones turning hot and then shifting around was decidedly unpleasant.
"Skeletal structure adjusted, height reduced, overall body frame of slender," said the gnome, punching a couple of buttons. "Internal organs shifting, brain chemistry adjusting. Now to the sex organs. You'll be fully functional of course, no need for hormone shots and the like."
Kodachi couldn't suppress the crying out part as bones continued to shift and body parts altered. None of this being at all pleasant. "Must it hurt like THIS? AIGH!"
"Oh, you wanted it pleasant?" asked the gnome. "Sorry. Then I'll just do it this way."
