"Like that'll happen," Ranma mocked.
"Ranma!" Saturn cried as she ran over to him in concern. She'd felt him draw on her power and he was usually too proud to call on it in a real fight. "What's happening?"
"Saturn! Stay back!" Ranma warned. Even after training together, or because of it, Ranma still tended to think of her genie as a weak little girl and not a powerful pretty warrior genie. "You can't hide behind your genie, coward!" Ryoga accused and thrust out a ringed fist. "Mars Genie Release!"
Genie Mars appeared before him inside a burst of flame.
"Saturn?" a still untouched chibi-Mars asked in confusion and turned on her Master. "What's going on?"
"You have to obey me, destroy Ranma and bring me Saturn's Ring," Ryoga said, a dark aura forming around him as Wiseman's hold on him grew stronger.
"Sorry, Saturn, I have to obey," said Mars, forming a ball of flame in one hand.
"Ranma," said Saturn quickly, "that boy is being controlled by a Dark Genie."
Ranma leapt over a series of fireballs. "Yeah? So?"
"So if he's knocked out, Mars will be freed." Saturn held her hands out. "Silence Wall."
"Hah, you think it's that easy?! Watch this!" Ryoga held up his other hand. "I control more than fire! Jupiter Genie Release!"
Lightning crackled. Another genie stepped out. "What?"
"Kill that boy and bring me the Ring of Saturn!" Ryoga smirked.
Hotaru was desperate, but saw her chance while Mars was distracted. "Silence Mallet Surprise!"
"Damn, I don't think I've ever seen a mallet that big before," said Ranma, looking at the huge mallet and the little hands in warding gestures sticking out from beneath it.
"Sorry about this," said Jupiter as the lightning finished knocking Saturn to the ground. "Now I have to kill you."
Ranma leapt. Jupiter fired off a bolt of lightning. This quickly developed into a pattern with Ranma escaping just seconds before lightning blasted the ground he'd just been standing on.
"You can't keep this up Ranma!" Ryoga gloated. "Soon the Saturn ring will be mine!"
"Hold still and let me kill you!" Jupiter yelled.
"Tomboy! Slow! Ungainly! Tall! Cow!" Each insult was delivered just as she leapt away from another zap.
Ryouga rushed forward. Now he'd finish this boy off and -
At eleven years old, Ranma might be a little girl but it would take dropping her pants to demonstrate that. She'd have to get another momentary advantage than somehow pointing out that the little boy Jupiter had been ordered to kill wasn't a boy. Like slipping on the ground. "Oops!"
Jupiter pulled out all the stops. "Supreme Thunder!"
Ranma grinned and did a high speed acrobatic roll terminating in a leap.
Lightning briefly lit up Ryouga's skeleton.
"oops," said Jupiter as she was drawn within the ring by her Master going unconscious.
Ranma caught her breath and grabbed the two rings from the hands of the slightly Toasty Lost Boy.
"Now what," she wondered. Saturn was unconscious and had already been pulled into the ring. She had two more of these rings, but they'd just been trying to kill him. They bonded into place on his skin, so at least she didn't have to worry about 'em slipping off.
Trying to wipe dirt off her face, Ranma decided to raid her opponent's wallet. A trip to a bath-house seemed the first order of business.
