"Wasn't suggesting you be a 'mascot,'" protested one of the boys.
Several other boys nodded at that, apparently in agreement.
"Dirty ratzin fratzin Vixxen," grumbled Ukyo, not particularly mollified but seeming to consider someone else to wage her wrath upon.
"Look, we're the Cooking Club," said the lead boy. "With you on our team, we'll have a chance with the Culture Festival this year. Without it, we're doomed."
"Why is this year so special?" asked Ukyo, not letting her guard down.
"The Drama Club has Sumire," said one of the other boys. "People will be showing up in scores just to see that."
"Okay," said Ukyo, wanting to show up the Vixxen edging into her absolute denial of joining some club.
"Sakura has joined the Kendo Club," pointed out another boy.
"Ri Kohran has apparently started the Mecha Club," said yet another boy.
"It's actually the Industrial Arts and Auto Club that have merged," said still another boy.
"Iris joined the Student Council," said the lead boy.
"Where she mainly seems interested in making origami," said the second boy. "Thank goodness."
"Kanna is in the Mixed Martial Arts Club, aka the Fight Club," continued the lead boy. "Maria is in the Strategy Games Club."
"Which used to be the Go Club, the Chess Club, and the Shogi Society, but they got merged due to budgets and a lack of rooms," conspiratorily added the second boy until a glare from Ukyo caused him to go back to his place in the crowd.
"So, if you join the Cooking Club, we might actually not be beaten into the ground," said the lead boy.
"NO, I am NOT a pokegirl, and I'm NOT joining," said Ukyo. "Absolutely not. No way. Not happening."
"She's NOT a pokegirl? Then we'll simply have to expel her," said the principal. "We were making an exception for these others based on their nonhuman status and this requirement of theirs to remain close to Ranma Saotome."
"Well," said the secretary, checking his notes. "According to the Vixxen, she's simply not admitting it. Some sort of psychological aberration which is apparently common aboard pokegirls."
Zip THOOM!
"That she's able to flip members of the Cooking Club large distances into the nearest stationary object," continued the secretary, "does seem to point towards her being one of these pokegirls."
"We're going to have to know their exact capabilities," said the principal, glancing at the section of wall now sporting a human-shaped indentation. "And any mess they make - they have to fix."
"I see," said the vice principal. "How could we tell for sure if she's a pokegirl or not? Not all of them have fur or tails, after all."
"I've an idea on that," said the principal.
"I'm what?" asked Ranma.
"Currently signed up as an 'authorized guest' in several clubs," said the boy, leaning back against a wall. "Each club that your pokegirls join, you have to join too per the principal's rules. However, since you can't possibly join that many clubs, they came up with this status where you attend one or the other of the clubs when you've got time."
"Oh man, what a pain," said Ranma, covering his face.
"So you're in, let's see now," said the student council member. "The Student Council, but in a nonvoting status. Cooking Club, Mixed Martial Arts Club, Kendo Club, Strategy Games Club, Drama Club, and Mecha Club."
Ranma let out a deep breath, wondering when the other shoe would land.
