"She's awake," said Taki's voice as the world slowly came into focus.
Shampoo sat upright abruptly, and then promptly wished she hadn't. "Ow."
"It'll pass," said an unfamiliar voice.
Shampoo gradually focussed on the scene. There was that boy she'd fought earlier. There was that large man from earlier. At first she'd thought him fat, but after seeing the fight realized that while he might have a layer of fat on him - he was simply large. "What happened?"
"I used a Gentle Fist technique to bypass normal defenses and go for a quick knockout," explained the boy.
"Eh?" asked Shampoo.
"Among the martial arts that Ranma here has studied," said Akane, "is the Gentle Fist techniques of manipulating an opponent's chi system. An opponent who is ready for such can avoid it."
Shampoo scowled at the implied criticism.
"I think you're underestimating the Master," said Taki, her eyes flicking to the Master.
"Yeah right," said Akane. Not that she could have been defeated by such methods. She'd avoided using the Eye Of The Tiger tattoo on this boy, preferring to find out how tough he was through more normal methods first.
The redheaded girl muttered something in German that sounded argumentitive.
"In any case, now that Shampoo is back among us," said Soun, shifting the cloth he was holding to his jaw to better be able to speak, "we can have the introductions."
"I am Kasumi, I have just gotten nmy Domestic Level Two certification," said a girl who was slightly older, bowing from her kneeling position at the table.
"Akane," said Akane, leaving off that she'd ended up a Yakuza Pit Fighter for a number of years. Better to reveal that after she'd gauged him a bit better. Though the Gentle Fist made sense to her. If he'd been fighting the Shimoda-Kansai Yakuza as had been indicated by Nabiki's websearch earlier, it made perfect sense he'd find a martial art style that could bypass their specialization in Armored Skin and Iron Fist techniques.
"Nabiki, finance manager," said another girl, bowing as Kasumi had done.
"I'm Asuka Langley Soryuu," said the redhead, her eyes flashing challenge.
"Shampoo," said Shampoo, rubbing her temples.
"Taki, though we've met already," said the dark haired ninja demonhunter. "You've trained in the Shinmei School?"
"Yeah, you know about that?" asked Ranma.
"I work a similar line of business to them," said Taki, inclining her head. "Perhaps we may spar later?"
"That'd be cool," agreed Ranma.
"So, these are your slavegirls," said Soun. "Take good care of them, get to know them, and we'll see you in a couple of days."
"Eh?" asked everyone else present except Genma.
