The other members of the "sentai" team of color coded fightercraft were therefore on another channel and discussing how best to get Akane Tenso back so the boss would calm down.
Had Akane seen them, she would have immediately recognized three of them as more analogues.
She would have had a hard time with one in particular.
The "Sasuke" clone was actually fairly close to the personality of the one Akane was familiar with. Sav Sokar was a bumbling, often well intentioned, career man in his late fifties just trying to make it to retirement. He was the Black Wind of the crew.
The "Mikado Sanzennin" analogue was like the variety that Akane had met a world ago as a member of the skating "Golden Pair" - now the Gold Peacock. Mirg Vanz was a xenophile though. Humans, unless they were exotic, weren't capable of holding his interest.
However the pilot of the Pink Harpoon might look like Azusa Shiratori but resembled her mentally not at all. Cold, hostile, and precisely businesslike. A former bounty hunter who wasn't above combining her old job with her regular paycheck to put a little extra money back. She also hated "cute" - and hated her combat vehicle's paint scheme. Not for the first time she contemplating using a small string and piece of fruit to horribly murder her employer. Reaver was not a pleasant girl to know.
"I want to kill him," Reaver said. "The problem is that the slowest method I know only would take four days to do it."
Mirg grunted. "And the Impies would be all over your butt like flies on a bantha. Everyone knows how much you despise Kuross. But then you despise everyone, don't you?"
"I wish we could find this girl," Sav sent. "We at least could get back into uniform and out of these ridiculous costumes. A guy my age should be allowed some dignity."
"...at least you're not wearing pink," said Reaver, making the color sound like some foul curse.
"...I was listening to the rant on channel A," Mirg informed them, "it seems that one of the other escapees has caught his fancy. He's proclaiming that he must have them both. Some girl named Erinnica Tate."
"What, he's after 'Red' Tate?" Reaver stopped, suddenly interested. "Wow. She's a good cook."
"There's someone in this universe you don't despise, Reaver?" Sav was curious at this.
"I could convince her with more time that she should hook up with me," said Reaver. "We met once. She was a ship's cook on a liner. She can really lay out a spread too. I tried to get her in the sack a couple of times but she's straight as they come." "You were on a luxury liner?" Sav seemed surprised that the harsh girl would spend money like that.
"Contract assassination on a business rival on the ship." Reaver informed them. "A bit messy. I had to..."
The following description of how she had stalked, killed, dismembered, and dissolved the body of her target was sufficiently gruesome that everyone else switched to Kuross ranting for the next five minutes.
"...I must have them both. Indeed, I deserve them both. And they both deserve me. For am I not Kuross! The rising star of the Coruscant Imperial Police. Yea, for I am indeed the pilot of the Blue Thunder - that which doth sail the seas of space to mete out justice and truth by mine own standards..."
"Hey, I got code!" Sav exclaimed. "It looks like a navcomp on one of the escapees failed and one of the others did a tightbeam. There was enough leakage I picked it up. Looks like they went to Endor."
"So do we tell anyone?" Mirg asked.
"They've got a couple of Farghul twins," pointed out Reaver.
"oooooo," oooohed Mirg. "I know just how to stroke their fur. And twins?! We gotta go there!"
