Setsuna's Fault: The solider of Crushing Duty [Episode 222762]

by Gantithoren

Gravity. He had power over gravity. There were limits to his power, of course. He couldn’t create enough gravitational force to form a black hole, nor could he disrupt one. Without an amplifier he was limited to personal range use. Of course, as the solider, (According to her new memories he was actually Grand Admiral Ran which is why he also had the ability to monitor gravity as well. This was the major reason he needed an amplifier.) he had insisted on having the amplifier built into his armor. It was a series of crystalline wires that went from implants in his central nervous system to a set of larger crystals on a strip outside his helmet. His preferred usage of his power was to simply implode his opponents by increasing the gravitational attraction of their heart (or equivalent) on the rest of their body. This was messy, and not the best way to make a positive impression with the authorities. Unfortunately demons and the like tended not to leave much os a mess as they dissipate when killed (that and no-one was likely to be upset that they were getting killed).

Of course, there was a silver lining to this. Well, two of them. The first was that Usagi was likely to see him as a severe threat. Too much power in hands other than that of her and her friends. In the right circumstances, of course. Saving her life by making the MotW go splat tended to make a good impression. The second was that as a loyal member of the military of the Silver Millennium he was unlikely to get upset about the founding of Crystal Tokyo, nor was he likely to develop a Senshi harem. That second point did a lot to make this version of Ranma a bit less worrying then all the others. Oh, who was she kidding. This Ranma was the best so far. He was still a wrench in the works, one that wasn't tangled up in anything, and more likely to be used to fix a problem, but still a possible problem. At least he knew enough not to get involved in ruling the kingdom.
