Enemy Territory: Anime Quakewars [Episode 223164]

by foesjoe

The Strogg, soulless fusions of decay and flesh and bone and marrow.

Twisted and ruined by centuries of war.

They search the galaxy for the sole item their existence requires.

Harvesting. Consuming. And destroying everything in their path.

And now, they have arrived here.

They came out of nowhere. One moment, the space between earth and its moon was empty, then it was filled with dozens and dozens of strange alien spaceships.

The world's governments didn't even have time to panic, let alone mount a defence. As soon as the spaceships had dropped out of the hyperspace-warp they opened fire.

Entire cities were razed, leaving nothing but a handful of buildings and a heavily decimated population of survivors. Shocked and broken.

Then they landed.

The Strogg were grotesque creatures, more machine than living thing. They swept across the earth and destroyed everything in their path. What they didn't destroy they incorporated into their ranks, including survivors.

They took men and women, cut off their limbs with crude tools and replaced them with implants. Stroggification was an exceptionally painful process performed without anaesthetics. If the subject survived they were incorporated into the Strogg hive mind and forced to kill and destroy everything they had once held dear.

But humanity soon overcame their shock and grief, uniting under a common banner, and formed a resistance, called the Global Defence Forces.

Then they fought back.
