It turned out that The Strogg invasion was in the mind of a Star Trek fan who had watched too many eps of The Borg. He was having a nightmare. He woke up quickly. Everything seemed fine. There were no invaders. Not around there. All of The Strogg were just nightmares.
But there really was an alien invasion. And that invasion was by the ones...
