o/^ô/ There's a little black spot on the sun todaaay... o/^
It's a proven fact that despite not being consciously aware of them, magnetic fields do have measureable effects on living beings, both physical and (in creatures with advanced enough intelligence) psychological. Some more than others, of course, part of the homing instinct that made carrier pidgeons so valuable before t ey became extinct was that their sense for magnetic fields was so strong they had a built in compass. Some humans can detect an active cell phone or walkie-talkie held near them while blindfolded and without sound cues, and reports of headaches with extended use are common.
How much more sensitive, then, must someone be who has trained their sensitivity to energy to levels impossible in our reality? To control and project their spirit, and detect others who do the same?
How might such people be affected by the massive magnetic storms blasted into space when the sun goes into its regular 'stormy season,' fields so intense they interfere with radio and television reception, let alone the more subtle and sensitive biological senses.
The star orbited by a world containing such sensitives has just gone into it's sunspot season. Let's watch and find out.
Which world is that, anyway?
