There were still three daughters of a woman who could have once been Mrs Tendo. As before, she died before her children had completely grown. The situations of the daughters were different though, in some ways VERY different and in some ways oddly similar.
Instead of a martial artist named Soun Tendo, the woman had married a man who'd worked his way up in a shipping company. They'd moved from Nerima to Yokohama, raised their children in a fairly typical way, and been a normal family for the most part. Oh, the moneyhungry Nabiki had a bad smoking habit. Akane was sort-of tomboyish. Kasumi worked at the same shipping company her father now managed.
A perfectly normal, respectable, if somewhat drab, life.
Well, up until Kitchiri inserted an adventure that had Akane kidnapped by a merman. Of course it would turn out that the merman was behind the odd incident where Akane had fallen off a boat while six years old and mysteriously turned up perfectly all right on shore three miles away with a necklace of seashells.
Of course it would also turn out that the merfolk family of the merman were the equivelant of the Yakuza, sort of.
Of course it would turn out that saving her would have been forbidden except that he apparently had proposed to her in order to save her, and she'd agreed without really hearing all of what she'd agreed to.
Of course wacky hijinks followed.
Meanwhile, there was Ranma. Bastet had seen to it that the Catfist had been replaced, as she still found the original version almost bordering on a personal insult.
"HOW exactly did this happen anyway?" asked Hephaestus. "This is an unusual group for a single father."
"Because he IS a single father," said Toltiir. "He never married any of the mothers. Just 'dallied' with them and went on his merry way. In this case he was investigating a possible link of Genma's ancestry with certain questionable elements. Which turned out not to be the element he thought it was at all. He went to a party, got drunk, and all the girls save one are the same age as of a single night."
"An experiment with a fruit punch that ended up as a super-fertility drug, oh my my," said Hephaestus. "Keep THAT away from Zeus, would you?"
"So Soun Tendo has the Tendo house and dojo, and THESE are his daughters?" asked Kitchiri. "How do they even manage to avoid killing each other?"
"Well, they're sisters, but they all have spent considerable time among their mothers' people. Now they're trying to learn to live in human society," said Toltiir as the mirror clouded and then cleared again. Now it revealed:
