Mischief Fragment -pactio: level 3 [Episode 223868]

by Kestral

Sasuke considered things from his point of view. Not knowing about changes in timestreams or anything of the sort.

The Legion Of Sasuke Fangirls had formed a few years ago. It had been an unparalleled and complete pain-in-the-butt since that ill-fated day. Partly because the girls regularly went into competition, with self-appointed "cooperative missions" to do things like spy upon him from his own bathroom. Partly because they would try to "prove" their "worthiness" to him or simply do stupid stunts in an attempt to get his attention.

Most of them had moderate ninja skills, could perform the basic jutsu taught in school, had the basic math and other skills necessary for ninja society. They could throw kunai or throwing stars, had some basic taijutsu skills, and were generally capable of fighting your average street tough. Woefully below his standards, but then who else had a major vengeance quest going on?

Then there were the individual specialists. Ino Yamanaka with her possession jutsu, for example. Sakura Haruno with her test scores, the best in the class according to some of what he'd overheard. Then there was the ones like Megumi who practiced bizarre forms of ninja-puppetry, or poison specialists like Ikuko.

Some of the kunoichi had removed themselves from the running. Being absent-minded while handling explosives was generally not a good thing.

THESE two though were, despite having just flashed their chests at him and thinking he was in a relationship with Naruto, among the more SANE of the fanclub.

Which was more a statement of how out there the rest of the group was, not so much about the sanity of either Ino or Sakura.

Ignoring the girls entirely had proven to be a wise course, up to now. Still, maybe he could manipulate the situation to his advantage and get both of them to withdraw?

Naruto watched them go finally. Sakura and Ino wearing a pair of his shirts because their own were a bit torn.

Sasuke vanishing before either of them, saying he had things to think over.

Hinata watched, partially hidden in the shadows, as she considered what to say. How to say it. What to do.

"You know, Hinata," said Naruto eventually, revealing that he had NOT forgotten about her presence. "You may be kind of weird, but I'm wondering if maybe it's just ALL girls are weird."

"Well, uhm, I don't think that's quite it..." hedged Hinata.

"But you know what?" asked Naruto thoughtfully. "I think I'm glad if I gotta have a fiancee, I'm glad you're it."

Hinata saw Naruto's lips continue to move, indicating he was saying something additional. That statement was bouncing around inside her head though. Naruto... is glad we're engaged?!

"Hey!" said Naruto, grabbing at a pocket. "This thing went off again?"

"Oh?" asked Hinata, surreptiously moving to where she could see.

Hinata Hyuga ***
Priestess Arcana
Knight
Note: I'm still not sure about all this, but Hinata seems kind of nice.

Hinata stared. Blinked. Blinked again. Then looked off to the side, fiddled with her fingers, blushed, and squirmed.

The little "Inner Hinata" though - she did a cartwheel into a split and came up with victory fans with "100% improvement" written on them.

It was past midnight when Sasuke Uchiha awoke, sensitive to the tiny fluctuations of enviroment that indicated something about to happen.

Then he realized that the sounds indicated that his refrigerator was being raided, at which point he changed it to 'something stupid about to happen' - as it meant that his Uncle Genma was once again visiting.

Once the identity of the intruder was known, the abrupt cessation of sound was something to concern him. THAT meant potential trouble. Which meant he'd need to sneak out and find out what was going on. And if he could ambush and beat the snot out of dear old Uncle Genma that was just icing on the cake.
