Akane shook her head to prevent herself from getting too dragged down memory lane. She had a duty to her friend, a duty which was to inform her of her husband’s return, so while her sisters kept her father busy she snuck off to call the wolf in human form.
As she dialed Horo’s number she remembered what happened next.
Flashback
After the Tendo girls saw Ranma carrying the nearly naked girl, they quickly called an ambulance, as well as the police.
The ambulance arrived first and the paramedic immediately started to load the girl onto the ambulance.
“What the HELL?” the paramedic shouted. “This girl has a tail, and what looks like wolf ears!”
“Shouldn’t ya get her to the hospital?” Ranma asked. “And if it’s no trouble to ya, mind if I tag along? I want to make sure she’s okay. I’m also curious about the ears and tail as well.
The police arrived on the scene while they were loading the wolf girl into the ambulance. Ranma climbed into the ambulance just as an officer approached him. “Mind if I ask you some questions?” the officer asked.
“No prob, mind if we do it in the ambulance? I want to make sure she’s okay,” Ranma responded while gesturing to the orange haired girl on the gurney.
The police officer climbed aboard the ambulance quickly. As soon as he was seated the paramedic in the back closed the door, and the ambulance started moving away.
End flashback
Akane is jostled out of her musing by a voice on the phone. “Hello?”
“Hi Horo, it’s me Akane, I have some good news, some bad news, and some stupid news.”
“What’s the stupid news? Your father is always good for a laugh.”
“My father made an arranged marriage to someone before we were born and just told us the day the perspective groom is to arrive.”
A laugh emanated from the phone, when Horo finished laughing she said, “And he thought you would just go along with it?”
“Yes, he claims it’s a matter of family honor.”
“You Japanese and your ‘family honor,’ but enough of that, if we continue down this thread of conversation, we will only have the same conversation we have had only three dozen times, now what was the good news?”
“Ranma’s coming back! His father is bringing him here later today.”
“That’s great! But why is he going there instead of here?”
“That’s the bad news, remember that arranged marriage I told you about? Well its to have a one of me or one of my sisters marry a guy named Ranma Saotome.”
“What?! Well my Mother-in-law and I, will have to have some words to my father-in-law about this so called agreement,” Horo said coldly
“I’ll leave contacting her up to you then, but I must say you seem to have gotten quite good at learning a level of technology so far ahead of what you knew.”
“Thanks, I had better call mom, and explain what it happening. Give Ranma my love when you see him, and tell him I’m on my way.
Akane sighed, and hung up the phone. She started walking towards the living room. Just as she reached it the doorbell rang. Soun and the three Tendo sisters rushed to the door, upon opining it they find:
