Ranma walked beside his father in a damp afternoon, his cursed form easily keeping pace with the other cursed martial artist. His thought turned toward his wife and his friends the Tendo sisters. I can’t believe that we are finally back in Tokyo. I wish that I didn’t have to leave on that stupid training trip. I had learned NOTHING in that trip that he couldn’t have taught me in Japan, except for confirming that he is a complete Moron. I hope Horo won’t mind my curse. His thought pause, as he fingers a pouch around his neck. I KNOW I’m going to catch hell from her, if not for getting cursed then for following the fat fool. I wonder what I did to deserve someone like her? His mind then drifted back to the ambulance ride, and his first conversation with his future wife.
Flashback
“So what did ya want to ask?” Ranma asked while sitting in the back of the ambulance.
We understand you were the one who found her, is that right?” the officer asked politely.
“Yup, she was lying in a crater after an explosion happened. All I found otherwise was this pouch full of wheat.” He held up an intricately designed pouch with a leather thong on it. Ranma continues with, “So I took off my shirt so she would have something to wear.”
“And what were you going to do with that pouch?” the officer asked gruffly. Meanwhile thinking, that pouch will be useless as evidence. Not only did he move it but he is handling it with his bare hands meaning that any physical traces that might have been on it are obscured.
“I plan on giving it back to her when she wakes up,” Ranma responded proudly. “I’m assuming that it’s hers since it was found in her hand.”
“I need to take a look at it” the officer responded.
“Here,” Ranma said as he handed it over.
Thank you,” the officer said, as he examined the pouch and the leather lanyard attached to it creating a necklace, his eyes then turned toward the neck of the wolf-girl, he noticed that she had marks on the side of her neck that looks like she had worn SOMETHING around her neck previously. Upon closer examination of the lanyard, he could easily conclude that it wasn’t taken forcibly from its owner’s neck, as there was no damage ether to it, or the pouch itself. He handed it back to Ranma while saying, “you can have this back, it doesn’t appear to have any clue as to who attacked her.”
“officer?”
“yes?”
“I got a pretty good look at her when I was putting my shirt on her, and she didn’t appear to have any combat related bruising.”
The officer looked at Ranma suspiciously, as he responded, “And how would you know that?”
“I’m a martial artist. I have received almost any type of blow you can think of, and probably many you can’t, so I know a lot about what type of damage comes from a beating. The only damage she had was her back, and that looked more like a vertical fall than a throw.”
In the background, the paramedic that was listening to the conversation nodded his agreement.
The officer looked at Ranma a few seconds before coming to a decision. “I can accept that for now.”
They were interrupted by a groan from the subject of their conversation.
The wolf girl opened her red eyes and looked around. she had a shocked look on her face, as if she didn’t recognize anything around her.
