Ranma had just been about to head off for the training rooms when he felt an energy spike behind him. The Zeo power was reacting to his budding Chi senses allowing him to detect Barza's magic. Quick as lighting, Red Ranger pulled out his Zeo laser pistol and pointed it at the smoke cloud in the center of the room. The smoke quickly vanished and the Zeo ranger found his pistol pointing strait at Nodoka's head.
Now, it had been ten years since Ranma had seen his mother so he didn't recognize her. Nodoka's eyes widened in shock when she saw the gun pointing at her and immediately put her hands up. She looked at the Red Ranger and cried out, "Don't hurt me! I'm just trying to find my son."
Zordon quickly called out, "At ease Zeo Ranger 5. Our guest is not here to harm us." Ranma promptly complied with the order and holstered his pistol.
Nodoka let out a sigh of relief and then looked for the voice of whoever had ordered Zeo Ranger 5 to put that gun away. When she saw the power tube she cried out, "What's going on? Where, what is this place? Why'd that genie send me here? I just wanted to see my son."
Helios rolled his eyes and then shot out, "What were you thinking lady? Genies always twist the 'wishes' they give out to cause the most trouble for the receiver."
Zordon spoke up, "Enough Helios. Now is not the time for your comments. While genies are tricky, they do not lie in granting a wish. They merely twist things around. Ma'am, I am truly sorry for what you have been caught up in. If you would like, I can scan the Earth using the Command Center's sensors to look for your son."
Nodoka was uneasy talking to a giant blue head, but she felt that Zordon wouldn't do anything to harm her. She nodded her head and replied, "If it wouldn't be too much trouble for you sir. I would appreciate that a lot."
Zordon nodded his head and mentally commanded the Command Center to start the scan. Unlike looking for Endymion's reincarnation, the sensors could easily find Nodoka's son by scanning DNA. A few seconds later the scans were finished. Zordon then spoke up, "Zeo Ranger 5, return to your regular state."
Ranma was confused as to why Zordon would give him such an order, but he complied nonetheless. Nodoka watched in confusion as a red light enveloped the Red Ranger. When the light vanished Nodoka saw Ranma standing before looking just like he did the the photos Nabiki had shown her. It was all too much for the poor Saotome matriarch and she fainted. The only reason she didn't hit the floor was because Ranma had run up and caught her.
