The pendant is a Pan-dimensional Access Device. Only you and those who might be descended from you will be able to use it. By using verbal commands you can summon a number of weapons or special beasts. Including creatures that can be used to attack or transport you from one location to another.
"So if I say 'staff'... ok. Kinda like Mousse's Hidden Weapons technique," said Ranma as he moved the bo staff through a quick set of manuevers.
That's your monkey staff, said the voice.
"So it can shrink or grow on command? Cool," said Ranma, having the weight now. "How do I put it back?"
Within a minute of leaving your hand it will return to the subspace pocket.
"Hammer?" asked Ranma, rewarded with a two-handed maul. "Lemee guess from the decorations - ox?"
Indeed.
"So what kinda summons?" asked Ranma.
