"Well, yeah, I guess," said Ranma, a little put off by the question coming from a glowing shape-changing gem that was actually a millenia-old technologically advanced alien being.
We know there is an afterlife. We know there are other universes. So what we're doing is connecting the concepts to you. With their help, you can get there. Each spirit has access to different abilities.
"What kinda of spirits?" asked Ranma.
A first image appeared, a wiry old man.
This is Hiruzen Sarutobi, the leader of a ninja village.
A second image, of a young woman with brown hair with a staff, replaced the first.
Aerith Gainsborough, a healer.
"Okay, so the ninja-guy can show me ninja techniques?" asked Ranma.
he can advise you in a number of manners.
"Ok," said Ranma, thinking 'score.'
You'll discover more as you go.
"Twelve weapons, twelve summons?" asked Ranma.
Something like that.
"I'm supposed to protect a solar system all by myself with these?" asked Ranma. "Solar systems are pretty damn big ya know."
Would you rather we simply dropped you back as you were and unable to defend anything at all?
"Uhm, no. Guess I'll find a way." Ranma decided that pushing millenia-old incredibly-powerful alien beings was probably going to be counterproductive in the long run.
Good. Good luck and good bye, Ranma Saotome. We shall not meet again.
"Was that ominous thunder?" asked Ranma.
I certainly hope not.
The gem and feeling of prescence vanished. Ranma was briefly alone before he realized he was on Mars still. "Aw crap..."
