"I feel pretty warm actually. It's like it's suddenly a burning day." Ranma said shifting a little and sweating a touch. Hsien-Ko could see it. A light blue invading his normal navy blue aura. He breathed out as his body cooled down to more normal levels but a good deal of fog poured out. "Cool." he said blowing it out in a steady stream.
"More like cold. I've had a couple suspicions but it looks like you're not fully human. A light blue aura is invading your normal one. It looks like we can go a little further with your training then I expected." Hsien-Ko said a little excited, there was a good deal of potential here. More then she ever realized before.

Genma was tired, hungry and injured. He had no idea what bit him or burnt him (the dragon did it!) but when he saw a bunch of floating cucumbers he didn't look a gift horse in the mouth and started eating voraciously.
"No! Do not eat the cucumbers! You will anger the Kappa he will..." an old man shouted just before Genma was pulled under by a thoroughly pissed off demon. "Too late... poor foolish man." he said clapping his hands together in prayer.

Hsien-Ko dodged expertly as a fourteen year old Ranma using ice claws that mirrored her metal ones sliced downwards dissecting and shattering the boulder she had been standing on. There were light blue streaks in his hair that gave him an interesting look as well as eyes like frozen chips of a glacier. Except a great deal warmer.
He shot out his claws and instantly reformed new ones but these claws had a special surprise for his sensei. When she deflected them the ki he had frozen inside instantly expanded causing a potent explosion. She wasn't hurt but she was caught off guard. Ranma was instantly on the offensive but nowhere near fast enough as she deflected a scythe aimed for her midsection and used her ki to hop again in midair and away from the shearing claws.
Ice reinforced spears shot towards her and she spun deflecting even the ones that were coming from the sides and behind. The brat had actually learned to make a fully self automated ice golem copy that would use the hidden weapons style Ranma did but only with pure ice as a tool. Still when ice was cold enough it was as hard if not harder then steel.
She heard Ranma inhale forcefully and she nearly swore as she quickly jumped away as Ranma exhaled a freezing breath and flash froze the area she was just in. He squinted as the reflecting light blinded him momentarily and she was on him in a flash. A huge two ton weight flying for his head Ranma hurled himself backwards so that it missed him by a mile. He launched hundreds of frozen arrows and Hsien-ko whipped out a gong and rung it causing all his double ended projectiles to fly back at him with equal speed.
A metal staff was suddenly in his hands and he spun it so fast it couldn't even be seen deflecting the arrows but proving to be a fatal distraction as he was near instantly pinned by his blue skinned sensei. She was panting lightly as opposed to her student who had a hard time catching his breath. "You've gotten a lot better Ranma, I'd say the only thing your missing now is experience." she said catching her breath easily and helping him up.
"Thanks... huff... I guess I need to work on my stamina a little more." Ranma said a little ruefully.
"Don't sell yourself short. If I didn't know your combat style so thoroughly I'd have been skewered time and again." Hsien-ko said ruffling his hair a little.
"Like that would stop you." he said grinning. They had really grown close, some sort of combination between teacher and student, mother and child as well as best friends. There was a line neither of them would cross and for a while Ranma had felt guilty just looking at her after getting 'The Talk'.
That night
Hsien-Ko had been thinking about it all day. There were no ways around it really. In this modern world you needed to have at least a highschool education to do anything for a living, except criminal activities but there was no way in hell either she or Ranma would be a part of that. She needed to get him in school and since they were in a Japanese mountain range she figured Tokyo would be the best bet. A city that huge is very easy to hide in from any people they would rather not run into.
Several places already known for action had immediately caught her attention. These were places where there skills wouldn't be too far out of place. They were...
