She is Natsuki Kuga. She settled herself on the Council Room's window sill, a vision of cool to anyone watching. That firm grace, that look that seemed to pierce your very being. That distant, almost unattainable wolf, wild and free.

...Unfortunately, the only other person watching was also the one not wholly unaffected by it. "Ara, really, now, Natuski. Trying to impress me by acting so cool." The person person giggled as Natsuki blushed in embarrassment.

"H-hey, Shizuru..." Natsuki mumbled towards the room's other occupant, Shizuru Fujino, who only covered her mouth daintily with her hand and laughed. Natuski pouted at the Kyoto-born woman, who only laughed some more.

'I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me...!' Eh? Oh, that was her cell phone. She blinked as she picked it up from beside the ledge by the window and flipped it open, "Yeah?"

"Hey, if it isn't wolfie-lady." A familiar voice sing-sang.

Natuski growled, rolling her eyes as she answered, "I told you not to call me that, Nabiki." Shizuru blinked, and looked up, as she was also familiar with that name. Natuski looked at Shizuru, before she set her cellphone to speaker.

"Heh, you know me, wolf-lady." Both people who heard that voice could practically feel the smugness from that voice. "Anyway, as much as I would want to tease you, puppy, I got some news for you."

Natsuki and Shizuru both raised an eyebrow, "...Okay, you got me. Go on."

"Daddy apparently made a promise with a friend of his, and now one of us are about to engaged with Daddy's friend's son." They knew Nabiki was upset.

"Uh...congratulations?"

"Bah, you're an idiot sometimes, pup." Natsuki growled at the insult, "Now now, now now. Hear me out. There are two factors that come with the fact that we're about to get engaged to the boy."

Natsuki said nothing at first, before asking, "Okay, what?"

"First of all, I'm not sure I, or my sisters for the matter, are quite just ready to get hitched." Both Natsuki and the silent Shizuru could empathize at her sentiment. But, there was something about the next point...

"And second and most important of all...the friend's name...is Saotome."

That did it. "Eh?!"

"Yep. Surprised as you were."

Natsuki seemed curious about it, "Aren't you blowing this out of proportion? I mean, Saotome is a very common name." Shizuru gave Natsuki a teasing look that basically said 'Ara, I didn't know Natsuki knew that', but her face still held a hint of worry in them.

Nabiki soon answered, "Yeah, I wish. I doubt there are a lot of boys named Ranma Saotome." Shizuru and Natsuki shared a look as their suspicions were confirmed, "So yeah. I had to call you. So, yeah, just wanted to inform...
