On the other hand, she did have to wonder what sort of idea that her father was working with. Even though she loved him dearly, her parent did tend to run under his own little sense of reality at times. Usually, that had to do with some overwhelming desire to keep everything quiet and protected, especially his daughters. However, now he was taking the idea that they would drop everything and marry some boy they were supposed to have never met before. Besides being a major hassle and move for them, he wasn't even bothering to truly consult them about any part of it.
Fighting to keep herself from frowning, Akane allowed herself to be comforted by the fact that she not only knew that Ranma was a good guy, but that he was already taken. A part of her mourned the fact that she hadn't found someone like him for herself, but there wasn't much of a need to pout over that fact.
