Then again, considering the fact that she was a girl who regularly had to beat up a mob of hormonal idiots looking to 'date' her due to a declaration made by a delusional wannabe samurai, that wasn't exactly a surprising determination.
Still, she was in a bit of a pinch, considering the fact that her best male friend, who was pretty much the only guy friend that she could think of at the moment, was supposed to be engaged to her. Considering the fact that he was already married, that would be a neat trick to accomplish. But there her father sat, looking certain that there could never be any sort of problem that would keep his promise from coming through. Of course, as Akane thought about it, she couldn't see where he had come by this confidence from. Even if she and her sisters hadn't met Ranma earlier, there had always been the chance that he could have had at least a girlfriend already.
Blowing out a breath, she knew that something would have to be done about what was going on. The urge to blurt out the truth came to her as she had never been one to hold back on acting when she felt that she had to. However, she bit her tongue and kept her silence as she didn't know how such a revelation would be taken. Heck, she hadn't even told him about how annoying Kuno had been towards her, and that was just likely to cause him to get all overprotective again. She really doubted that she wanted to see just how he would react if he found out that she had not only known the boy that he might like seeing her married to, but that the boy in question already had a wife.
This was going to get very messy, and she knew it, but could hope that they could at least mitigate the severity of it. Just how likely that was, she couldn't tell, but she could at least hope that they would get a chance to get it. Why, just having teenagers gain the sort of love that would support a life long marriage wasn't that usual, and Ranma had found such a relationship with someone from:
