One would expect such a thing from a school where all the students had magical powers.
There had been moments when Akane had wondered what it would have been like to have the ability to wield mystical abilities at that sort of level. Had she been able to do whatever she wanted with a spell or two, she might have divested herself of more than a few idiots along the way. Unfortunately, it wasn't like she, or anyone else for that matter, could just wave a magic wand to get what they wanted, and not get some sort of cost for it. Everyone who had magical power only had a limited amount, and if they used up the quantity of their reserves, then they would turn into dust and float away on the wind.
As much as she'd have liked to be able to use magic on Kuno at least, she had no desire to kill herself to teach that jerk a lesson. So, she merely kept to admiring the abilities that Ranma's wife had, having been impressed by what she'd seen so far. She wouldn't go and ask for a demonstration just to get a view of the other girl's powers, but it was nice to get a show once in a while. Since she liked the girl as it was, it was great to know that she would be able to hang around her friends whenever she wanted to.
Of course, the fact that her own father was going to try and get her to take Ranma as her husband was distressing to say the least. Not only was she not wanting to get on the married girl's bad side, she didn't want to take him for herself in the first place. Had she desired to be romantic with him, she could have done that long before he'd gotten solidly involved with his future wife, but she hadn't thought of him in that way. He was a nice enough of a guy, but he was also a bit too cocky for her taste, and she was pretty sure that they'd wind up fighting too much for her liking.
That made this situation all the more disagreeable, and she didn't want to get involved in it. The problem was that she didn't have a choice in the matter, considering the smug look that her father had on his face. As far as he was concerned, he'd just had a plan to get his friend's son married off to one of his daughters, and that was the way that it was supposed to be. Even the fact that he hadn't bothered to actually /ask/ those involved didn't bother him, as he and his old buddy had decided that this would happen. Due to his certainty, there wasn't going to be much room to wriggle in the situation, and she knew that this wasn't going to be going as simply as he thought it would.
If anything, just having him being blindly engaged to her or one of her sisters would have been troublesome enough, but it was likely to get even more chaotic since Ranma had already gotten married to:
