Coupled Union - Volume Of Affection: Magical Arts [Episode 226113]

by Kender

To be perfectly honest, Akane did have to admit that she rather respected Sayumi Morisaki. Although the other girl wasn't that intent on showing off what made her special, it was easy to see that her friend was certainly wonderful. Oh, Sayumi was quite attractive, what with her own athletic build and long silken black hair, but that beauty wasn't all that set her apart from other girls. Why, in her own school, her unwillingness to join in the stupidity that the others in her class would jump in to was enough to treat her with dignity. After all, Akane pretty much held most of Sayumi's classmates in poor esteem, and really liked the fact that her friend simply refused to sink to their level. If anything, it made her like the married girl even more, and that didn't even add in the respect that she had for her pal's fighting ability.

Somehow, she rather doubted that she'd ever want to let the Tendo family become true enemies of the Morisaki, seeing as even Sayumi, who merely wanted to test her mettle against her family's traditional rivals, would likely fight hard against any who would 'betray' her.

Having this come up really sucked, as Akane didn't want to be in this position. There she was, with her father standing firmly behind his push for her to marry his friend's son, and on the other side was her friend's marriage, which she could not bring herself to cause grief. By her own reckoning, they belonged together, and not only due to the fact that they had dedicated their lives to unarmed combat. No, Sayumi was his support and moral anchor, and he was her drive to get out there and really do things. They fit together perfectly, and she knew that their talent made them a couple to watch.

Of course, she found herself wondering just when it was that Ranma would need to use magic, while:
