However, no matter how much she loved her father, she simply could not see herself going as far as to try and marry Ranma Saotome. On top of the fact that the guy was married already, it would have been like marrying her brother. Sure, she might have liked to have him for herself if he'd been free and they'd met under other circumstances, but the two of them were completely and utterly friends. The idea that they would share a wedding was just too strange for words, and her mind simply would not allow her to imagine it.
And from the strained look on her sisters' faces, it was clear that they felt the same way.
It didn't need to be said that they would simply not be going after their pigtailed friend with any sort of romantic feelings of their own. About the only reason that they'd go after him for that sort of thing would be to help their other friend out. Why, it just made sense that they would make sure that those two would be together, as that was what the three of them had wanted for a rather long time.
Besides, Akane wasn't looking to get with anyone herself. With her own romantic situation being as horribly idiotic as it was, she doubted that she would be going out with any of her current paramours. Perhaps the idea of an arranged marriage would have given her an out from the strain of a position, but she wouldn't have known what sort of guy she'd get.
No, it was better to simply let it be and handle this efficiently and quickly, so that she wouldn't wind up causing trouble in the relationship between Ranma and:
