Coupled Union: Making With The Brides [Episode 147612]

Sitting there, Akane heard her father drone on about how he would be 'so happy' if one of them would marry his friend's son, but she wasn't really listening to his words. There was little reason to, since she already knew that it wouldn't work out as he had planned. It wasn't as if they had planned this, as they hadn't even known that their fathers had even met, never mind come up with this crazy scheme. Of course, there had always been a possibility of them at least knowing of each other, given the similar names of the schools that they taught, but as neither father talked much about their own youthful training, the schools could have split off from each other centuries earlier.

Still, that didn't change the fact that her father wanted one of his daughters to marry Ranma Saotome. Not knowing that the boy in question was already a friend to the girls wasn't his fault, so it wasn't like he'd meant to cause a hassle for them. Not that giving blame was going to solve anything, since it didn't change the facts of the situation.

So, she knew that she had to figure out something to do with it. As it stood, she had to work out what she could do. Hopefully, she could get into contact with Ranma's wife before anything really problematic came up. Seeing as how keen her father was on this arrangement, she didn't want to be dragged up before a priest before doing something to stop it. Ranma might be her friend, but she didn't think of him in that way.
