And the thing was that apparently Ranma was number one among those guys. From what he'd said, it seemed that he rather liked the idea that his wife was normal, even if he was not. People might have thought that he would have gone for some kick ass martial artist, or a brilliant mind, but it seemed that what he really wanted was a comfortable home where he could relax.
Well, he'd found it with Yuka.
With her, there were no expectations, no sense that he had to show off for her. Instead, he could simply take her breath away by taking her into his arms and hopping from rooftop to rooftop on a night with a full moon. Her strength didn't need to match his, and she wasn't looking to compete in the same areas as him. In fact, she actually gave him a way into the 'real world', where he could interact with regular people like he was one of them, not some outsider who had no clue as to why people would get mad with him.
Glancing at her sisters, she saw that they understood the implications of what their father was saying. Neither of them had any designs upon Ranma, other than to be his friend, and weren't likely to do so in the near future. Of course, it wouldn't matter if they did, since he only had eyes for his wife.
But then, that was as it should be, in Akane's eyes at least. She really liked her buddy, but if the guy hurt Yuka, she'd be the first to whap him on the head. That wasn't only due to her concern for the other girl, to be honest, as she felt worry towards him too. There was nothing more than a tight friendship between them, but that was sufficient enough for her to want to treat him like a brother.
Combined with the fact that she knew about his preference for having Yuka's hair draped over his body, there was enough for her to feel gross about the very idea of being engaged to the big jerk.
Heck, just trying to imagine why and how he liked her friend's locks covering his body was more than what she wanted to do.
Still, that wouldn't exactly help anything, and she wasn't quite sure as to what to make of the situation, while:
