Usagi hung up the phone and smiled warmly as she recalled Nabiki's words. It was shocking how it had seemed so long and at the same been all to brief since the last time she had seen her boyfriend... no... her husband. Her heartbeat quickened as her mind traversed back to that cool winter day. Though it was in no way shape or form what she had long dreamed of in her many fantasies of her wedding day, there was one important part that fulfilled her dreams. And it was the very man that was returning today. She frowned slightly as she recalled Nabiki's conversation. Her father had, apparently, arranged to engaged her husband to one of her friends. She had no doubt about how her friends or husband felt about that situation, but at the same time Nabiki's father had no way of knowing that he was trying to engage his daughters to a married man. "I have to do something..." she muttered, "But what can I do?" It was a conundrum for the blond. As not only was her friend's father unaware that Ranma was a married man, it was easy to guess that neither did her father-in-law know about his daughter. The only ones who knew were the Tendo daughters. And... there was one other... -RING- Usagi blinked as the phone shook her out of her thoughts, "Who could that be?" The phone rang once more before she answered it, "Hello. Tsukino residence." "Ah! Usagi-chan!" Usagi smiled once again, "Hey Naru-chan!" "So, what's up Usagi-chan? You sound happier than usual." She giggled, "You'll never guess Naru-chan." "It's Ranma isn't it?" Usagi could feel her oldest friend's knowing smirk on the other end of the phone, "How'd you know?" "Just a guess. He's back home from his trip, huh?" "Mmn," Usagi sighed a bit, "But there's a problem." "Oh? Did he run into your dad?" "No! Thank goodness..." she sighed, "Hey Naru-chan.. can I ask you something?" "Of course you can, Usagi-chan! What's wrong?" Usagi began playing with the phone cord as she pondered how to best ask this question, "What would you do... if you found out your boyfriend was in en arranged marriage?" "..... Are you telling me Ranma's cheating on you Usagi-chan?" "Nonononononono!!!" she denied venomously, "Nabiki-senpai just called me a little while ago. She told me that Ranma's coming over to their place to get engaged to either her or one of her sister. The thing is they just found out, and I'll bet you anything Ranma either doesn't know or just found out himself." "....And how sure are you about that, Usagi-chan?" "My Ran-chan isn't a playboy, Naru-chan!" "I know, I know. But... well.. what can you do about it Usagi-chan?" "I don't know Naru-chan!" Usagi cried, "Do you? I could really use some advise!" "Usagi-chan... I really don't know what I would do in your place." Usagi slumped to the ground at her friend's words, "Naru-chan..." "But... but there's gotta be something you can do, right Usagi-chan?! Don't you like Ranma?" "I don't like him Naru-chan... I love him." "All the more reason to not give up, Usagi-chan!! I mean... you know that Nabiki-san won't go with it right? Nor will Ranma right? You guys just need to figure something out!! Heck you could just wreck the omai or something!" A pause. "...Usagi-chan?" A longer pause "Hey Naru-chan..." "Yes?" "Can you do me a favor?" "Oookay... what is it?" "Can you say I'm sleeping over your house?" "Hah?" "Please?!?" "Yeah, sure! But... why?" Usagi smiled, "Because you just gave me an idea." "...I did?" "Thank you Naru-chan!" Usagi cried happily, "You're the best!" "....Happy to be of service?" "Alright then, I'll tell you how it goes, ok? Bye-bye!" Usagi hung up the phone and marched towards her room, a determined look upon her face. 'Wait for me Ran-chan! Your wife is coming to help you!' ------------------------------------ [Meanwhile] As the sign collided with the back of Ranma's head, one thought flashed through the redhead's mind.
