"Milady, it isn't even noon. You shouldn't be drinking."
"It's one of Homura's three-hundred and seventy-five page reports on drainage conditions of the soybean fields south of the Forest Of Death. I'm supposed to face that SOBER?"
Far to the North, space rippled and blurred. When the blur resolved itself, two figures stood where they hadn't been a moment ago.
"You suppose this is the right place?" asked Naruto.
"One way to find out," answered Jiraiya.
"As long as it isn't one of those 'mirror' universes like in that one TV show," said Naruto. "Running into an evil version of me would suck."
"Considering the training you've gotten, and everything else," mused Jiraiya, "I would expect it to work out worse for the evil-Naruto."
