When Sango awoke the next morning, she found herself looking at Ranma-chan's face. The aforementioned red-head had somehow turned to face the brunette during the night. They had also gotten their arms entwined, which was a good thing, because the fire had died out as the two slept and they had apparently kept each other warm.
It wasn't too long before Ranma awoke as well. Not only did she notice that herself and Sango were wrapped in one another's arms, but also that their legs were tangled, causing the red-head's cheeks to become flushed. Survival instincts kicked in and Ranma found herself trying to escape the pounding she was sure to.... not get? "G-good mornin'," murmured Ranma hesitantly.
"Good morning," came Sango's sleepy reply and the two of them carefully disentangled their limbs, Ranma-chan having relaxed once she realized that this was not Akane.
The two of them made some small talk as they got dressed, after Ranma tested her ankle. (She hissed and fell on her ass because of this.)
Just as Ranma had slipped her red Chinese-style shirt on and was starting to fasten it, she found her hands in those of a man with black hair and wearing violet robes. "Miss, would you do me the honor of--"
Ranma decided to cut off this pervert's words by driving a fist into his gut, her eyebrow twitching. "Lech," she muttered as the man was dragged out of the campsite by a fully dressed and giggling Sango.
"You deserved that, Hōshi-sama," stated the Yōkai Taijiya, "Besides, I wouldn't really recommend you to try to hit on her."
